I have the same problem, no crashes in my case though, i just get kickad out to the main menu after the matchaking server message.
This happens every few minutes so i can't really play the game since a while back.
 
Gamma 2 is all over the place for me. I managed to take a mission but upon completion i was told the mission transaction failed. I simply couldn't deliver the cargo. Since then, the mission is on and off in transactions, disappearing and appearing, sometimes it's visible in BB too but can't be finished.

Then i had the infinite loading screen (spinning ship).

And just now, i tried again and now i'm back in the game, mission still bugged, but now i fail to connect with matchmaking server as soon as i try to open the BB. Tried it multiple time. Open BB, disconnect and back to the main menu.

EDIT: Didn't had any crashes though. Yet.
 
Same problem here to, as soon I'm going supercruise I get a connection lost. So I guess we have to wait until the ED team fixed the servers.
 
Do you really believe the server(s) will be more stable after release, when the masses hit them?

They should really stop the mission timers if people are not playing/logged in.
It's just bad game design.
 
Indeed, I can live with the down server etc, it is still in developement (hense the name Gamma), but logging in, out, up, down, left, right, trying to get it to work, hoping it just might with the very fact Frontier have said nothing, so we are all unaware of any confirmed issues. An ETA of some sort would at least give us something to do in the meantime and then come back and try again when it has supposed to have been fixed.

Blah, blah, blah, please Frontier, keep us informed. This has been going on for a few hours now with not a peep about any problems other than us miserable lot expressing our displeasure in this Server down thread...

Please, pretty please Frontier, tell us what's happening!!! Anything.....

There is an issue - OSOD (Orange sidey of doom/ Frozen Sidey of Doom) many clients cannot get past a frozen Load screen. it is quite a big issue and has been confirmed by those who have ticketed it :( sorry we are hoping they are fixing this so we can join you :)

Sure, with many players ticketing issues, there clearly is a major problem with something, still, just a "We are aware of players having problems logging in, crashes etc, etc, we are working on it as we speak, be patient cmdrs", would simply confirm there really is an issue, coming from the "horses mouth" so to speak. It would perhaps have saved me and others the last couple of hours wasting our time.

With the greatest respect Frontier, you are no doubt working like minions under the whip of a slave trader to fix this (would that be David), I have full confidence of course, would simply prefer one sentence announcement from your public relations dept, or who ever does this kind of thing.

Good Luck Frontier, beers are on me! (if this were possible)

I would contend that, while missions running in real time may be inconvenient to some players, it is not bad game design.

Server crashes would be reasonable grounds for pausing the timers though.

I totally agree. May I suggest an addition to the launcher, that allows a member of the team, to post issues regarding connection with server if there is one. At the moment, we know there's an issue, but we have no idea, if anyone is working on it, or even knows about it. We can only assume they do. Little things like keeping us informed are what really makes a great support team.

But this means they would have less space for ads on the launcher :p

I am getting kicked of the server every 5mn myself as well.

I also agree. We are after all testers and as such we do need to know what is happening surely?
 
Just a question, Has anyone else noticed that the pad assigned to you sometimes blinks on and off. I have put a ticket in.
