Great. At least you could me a little with rare comm.'s if you were prepared to wait a while and now they have nerfed that too. Wonderful. Game is getting less fun with every update. Thanks FD.

Instead of nerfing rare trading, why not actually fix the markets so we can get more items to trade. As example the station i'm at now, has 0 high demand for any items.

I suspected that many players were needlessly put in different instances while at the same location despite not hitting the limit of 32 players. This should improve it.

Yup. In fact, you could go for am hour only getting existing but empty instances, the matchmaking appeared to have favored island health over everything else (and empty islands had 100% health)

Can't wait to get home and test this out. I felt really lonely yesterday when I was all alone in the universe ;)

> After yet another discussion with the rare commodity producers, Commanders should now be eligible to only purchase rare goods up to their own personal allocation, instead of buying everybody else's ration as well. <

Someone might want to explain that one before all the players go off the wall assuming whatever they think it is. Sounds like less rare commodities for everybody. If that is true then one less way to make some credits.

I can see in Heike that now the Rare "Ceremonial Heike Tea" has gone from a supply of "(x) High" to a blank supply amount, like other items that are not supplied. I currently have a cargo of Heike Tea, as I was buying it prior to the patch. Before hand, after purchasing the available stock, the supply column said "0 High" but now it is blank.

Can someone please explain what is the actual fix for rare goods, it's not clear to me.

It's simple. Whatever you get when you visit the station is what you get.

You can't wait ten minutes and get more stock.

You have a single allocation of whatever rare good until you've sold it, be that 8t or 15t. Or even 1t, I'm presuming.

Less danger of getting kicked by a wannabe-pirate :-D

Hi everyone,

Here's the full change log for 1.02. Just a few quick changes to make your play experience even smoother! Enjoy! - the servers should be down for around 10-15 minutes from ~12.30GMT 18/12/14

- Allow text chat to function for any voice comms member, not just for friends
- Fix for a rare crash when scanning unexplored systems
- Fix for a rare crash during networked combat
- Fix for a very rare crash in or near starports and outposts
- Fix for a very rare crash after migrating servers on network island changes
- Corrections to some mission descriptions
- Corrections to some galaxy data in rarely visited systems
- Extend a time-out that occasionally triggers a disconnect during hyperspace
- Extend some previously added diagnostics to further refine the data gathered

And there are some server-side changes, too:

- After yet another discussion with the rare commodity producers, Commanders should now be eligible to only purchase rare goods up to their own personal allocation, instead of buying everybody else's ration as well.
- Universal Cartographics has issued a new purchasing policy, so Commanders exploring supermassive stellar bodies should no longer receive supermassive payouts.
- Tune matchmaking to significantly improve the chances of meeting other Commanders in space
- Improvements to Exploration server performance

All your feedback is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Ed

Ed, seems like the devs were a little overambicious in "fixing" rare trading.
(I don't know what needed to be fixed, as it seemed to work like intended in 1.01.)

Now stations have NO SUPPLY at all.
Maybe someone could have a look at this?

I'm in game and I think this is exactly what it means. Totally sucks. Trading just lost it's last enjoyable thing.

Hi Stalker

Thanks a lot for this - the detailed examples really help. I thought I'd just let you know the dev team really appreciate it and are looking into sorting it right now. They intend to be watching this thread all afternoon for this sort of thing - they've got eyes and ears everywhere that lot.

I posted already some data, but here is some more:

Aulin Enterprise has Tea and Coffee in Stock, while Consumer Technology and Progenitor Cells can be bought in i-boötis ´chango dock.

I remember we had a small patch some time ago that blocked trading of goods that are not on demand ("Lakon effect" if I remember it right, somewhere in a server side patch), after that we were not able to sell more to the market than it demanded. But now we can do everything, and I think also the AI does.

oh .. c'mon :p I had an awesome system of hanging out in federal systems with rare goods doing missions and bounty hunting while slowly filling up my cargo over the course of a day or two, and then heading to another federation rare spot. I get that they want to get rid of people just looking at the trade screen but... meh, I liked my system, it was an excellent incentive to hang out a place for a while, then move on etc.

Brilliant to see daily updates. I have an issue where I can't hand over goods to complete a mission-I have ticketed it. Hopefully this is a work in progress for future tweaks??

Cheers

Thanks for the update.

Any news on the bug related to Authority vessels turning on you when taking down a wanted craft. Even if you don't hit them they turn on you and you don't have a bounty or fine of any sort..?

This has happened to me as well. Also, sometimes I don't receive any money for taking down wanted ships even though I get the notification in the top right corner. This is pretty annoying when I miss out on 50000 credits for taking down an anaconda.

Good to see that FD are working hard on fixing issues. Keep it up!

The game has surpassed my expectations, by adding and fleshing out features like the gameplay mechanics/ship-station menus and content it will be a masterpiece!
After the World of Warcraft launch which left the game unplayable under collapsing servers days into release, I tip my hat to you, I was online ten minutes after launch with fantastic download speeds and no disconnects or game crashes after hours of play.
Would love to see the galaxy map worked on, better player communications/grouping/missions and more galactic events/dynamic news feedback and player information in the feeds. The concept of the players changing the galaxy really needs to be explored.
More elite, I'm hooked.

Great work! So far everything for me is smooth and polished.

My only minor crit is the menu system does not respect my shiny new 21:9 monitor.....but by Jingo everything else looks fantastic.
