My steam download (for Horizons) has finished. 739.9 Mb for Steam Horizons. Steam Ody I heard was 6.6gb, start your downloads if you have not already. BACKUP your key binds folder is recommended

Showing for me as a 5.8GB download and a 12GB install.

Ive raised this exact point for several previous updates, and I seem to remember @sallymorganmoore said she’d look into it. The server status shown on the launcher is very clearly incorrect!

Yea my account is definitely all kinds of messed up. I’m just uninstalling and never playing again. This is rubbish. They didn’t have to yo my account and make me start over

I'm actually laughing to myself here, I don't know if i should look forward to this update or not because I don't know whats going on and if there is anything to look forward to. I get the gist of the azimuth saga although ive never done anti xeno stuff and don't feel interested enough to get some AX weapons (even buying them) and killing thargoids. I know about the proteus wave and all that but i don't know what is going to happen, is there some physical change, or new activity about to occur? Is it another form of anti xeno space combat? If there is a new thargoid mothership i MIGHT take a trip and have a look at it. Other than that I'll more than likely hold off jumping into ED a while until i get that space itch.

You could wait until you actually can connect to the game again at 1:30pm and see what happens then.

Oops - I hit 'Upgrade' two minutes before I read that the time had been put back to 13:30 and I am synching files now. Will I upgrade to 12.9 instead of 13?

Restart Steam.

I was killing and restarting Steam but then remembered that it sits there in the little task bar dock and had to quit it there, so that Steam logs in again.

servers will come back online at 1:30PM BST...

You could wait until you actually can connect to the game again at 1:30pm and see what happens then.

I was told 1300. And it’s letting me access the game like everyone else. It’s just my account is reset to the very beginning. I have nothing but a sidewinder and 1000 credits when I once had millions.

No. That's when the servers come back up again (or are expected to, lets see). The client update gets shipped before that.

Have you tried to log in yet? I did and it had me as CMDR Recruit at Mawson. Hopefully a bug. :'[

Sally in this thread updated that to 13:30; absent access to the servers you're being dumped into the new user experience which doesn't need ther servers.
Have some patience, actually read this thread instead of just complaining in it, and wait until the servers are confirmed as back up. Game isn't at fault, it's a PICNIC error.

Official server uptime is at 13:30, they updated that about 20 minutes ago. If you are logged in now with no loaded save, it's because the servers aren't expecting players for at least another 10 minutes.

Well I logged in and it sent me through the new prologue video about the super weapon and all and then it just put me in the Mawson dock

Well that was a bit of a let down ? Cut scene Proteus wave failed and the cut scene was ??? Salvation dead and the Thargoids thankfully unharmed .
