Hello everybody, its been a while since I've posted anything.
I've been watching the update process from afar, and one thing that somehow i feel its missing from elite is the ability for players to have some form of outposts.
I bet this idea has been thrown around a lot, and yet here is another take of that.
Event if limited player outpost with small prefab building, ( exploratory settlement with basic systems) would give players an amazing sense of belonging.
Imagine Packing Cargo slot with a new module " Packed Base Module". You place that module and, a predefined , exploratory base spawns with all the basic items to survive and call it a home.
Maybe even you can add a set of modules to make it more self sufficient.
Well this are my 2 cents, I've been a faithful Elite supporter since Beta Days, and i always express ideas of what might be cool to have, some have impressively come to fruition, others are in waiting
Also Placement could go the way of using legs to avoid the nightmare of terrain clipping.
Using Leg pilons to adapt to terrain height and place the modular building at a safe distance from clipping, leaving only a procedural staircase to the ground.

- Power Core
- Could use Solar or some other technology to keep it going
- Regolith Refiner/miner
- This could slowly be filled with dust and proceed a % of the materials present in the planet composition.
- To later be used either to (sell, upgrade, repair)

- Lab Analysis
- Analyze Dirt recovered by the refiner to discover some (science and gather points towards something)
- Storage Module
- Store refined regolith to be either sold or use locally for repairs
- Icy planetscould:
- Provide microorganism
- Water
- Minerals
- scientific data
- Rocky Planets(Depending on planet composition)
- a % of the materials found in the composition o
- scientific data
- etc etc with all the other planets types
