We've hyperspaced into the outskirts of the Prism system, seen here from about 0.25 light years out...
Closing in on Chione, the inhabitable moon of the super-earth water world of Daedalion.
Cobra on 'final' for the Imperial Palace, island of New Ithaca, southern hemisphere of Chione.
View from the Imperial palace looking north during the day. Sapphire and Diamond are bright daylight visible stars.
Same location, but at dusk. The bright 'star' is infact the 'hot saturn' planet Mestra in an inferior orbit.
Same location, local midnight. Note Daedalion never moves in the sky due to Chione being tidally locked. There is a daily lunar and solar eclipse due to the lower inclination orbit relative to the Prism star.

It's not the book you need to worry about; it's the special game 'features' based on the book. Let's just say that from at least gamma onwards I'd give any ship piloted by Commander Wagar a very wide berth indeed.

I don't know if the systems exist in any meaningful way yet. Michael was talking about a 'Stellar Forge' which they are using to generate the universe in ED, but I've seen no output from it yet.
For the book covers, a certain spacecraft based on Frontier graphics straight from ED is likely to make an appearance.

In low orbit around the moon of Chione is the infamous Mastopoulos Mining Station "Hiram's Anchorage". Brought in by the Imperials 'somewhat against' the wishes of the original settlers. At five miles long it's a beast of an installation, with a centripetal habitation ring similar to those seen on the Imperial cruisers and docking facilities for hundreds of ships.

Alas, editing is a cunning enemy. For me, at least for now, communication must remain infrequent. Vanquish my nemesis, and I shall return! In the meantime, Commander Drew flies the authorial banner - in pictures and, if enough want it, perhaps in song.
We won't, we'll be after reviews when the books come out.
Plenty to talk about once the books are in the wild. Characters, scenes, ships, locations, sequels etc...
I'm not going to give out any spoilers until the book is in the hands of the pledgers however.
