Perhaps if they changed it so you always rebuy your ship in the currency you bought it with.No , this might actually be Pay to Win.....

No, unless you use your card while logged on to his Elite account. Is there a way I can buy ARX for my son and send them to his account?
Sorry for the translation, but it's the right move and it's pretty clear why.No, unless you use your card while logged on to his Elite account.
We used to be able to send cosmetics purchased in store as gifts to other players, but that functionality was sadly taken away when Arx was introduced.
Massive shame and no info from fdev about this, despite repeated questions, unfortunately.
Not in-game. If you are both playing via Steam, you can purchase ARX as a gift for him in the Steam store, IIRC (I can't check to confirm right now).Is there a way I can buy ARX for my son and send them to his account?
Why not just refill his wallet with steam ?Not in-game. If you are both playing via Steam, you can purchase ARX as a gift for him in the Steam store, IIRC (I can't check to confirm right now).
What it right move? To not allow gifts? Or to allow them?Sorry for the translation, but it's the right move and it's pretty clear why.
I think that would be called "Sucks to pay"Perhaps if they changed it so you always rebuy your ship in the currency you bought it with.
I'm sorry it's hard for me to write about it. There's just no direct evidence that it's a gift. What it right move? To not allow gifts? Or to allow them?
Because it is a Pandora Box. Because what there is in Elite except progression? There is no endgame. If you could start the game with everything, what would be the point? Why?
I got my ships fully engineered back in 2017 or so and carried on playing. Sure, I outfitted the occasional new ship since then but I've mostly just been using the ones I already have.Because what there is in Elite except progression?
I am definitely one of those calling for it to be easier and quicker. I am a long time casual player, like a lot of other folks here. I will freely admit I find engineering in it's current iteration to be frustrating and confusing. One of the biggest things I am perplexed by is pin/unpin blueprints. I can not work out why this is necessary at all as a process. I am in a ship with a computer that records all sorts of data but I have to pin and unpin blueprints to access them later on ? That makes very little sense. Once I visit/unlock an Engineer, I should just have access to those mods anywhere there is a "blueprint station".That's not to say that it's wrong to enjoy the upgrading process - I quite liked it too - but the regular calls to make engineering simpler and quicker suggest that there's plenty of people who just want to get to the "attacking Thargoid spires" or "hauling thousands of tonnes of Powerplay commodities" bit which they find more interesting.
I remember the time when this was put into the game and there was a bug. For a long time. There was a rule if you flew away from an engineer, check if your blueprint was secured.I am definitely one of those calling for it to be easier and quicker. That's just one of those things that grinds my gears about the current Engineering. The whole system seems complicated for no real reason. If I had my way, I would simply allow Engineering mods to be bought for ingame credits at the Engineering facilities full stop. No flying all over to get mats and other superfluous stuff.
In my mind a better system would involve doing missions to unlock the Engineers themselves and that's it. Once they are unlocked, go nuts. This is just my opinion, not a universal truth![]()
If you sell pre-purchased ship, you can redeploy it with the same internals like were originally included.I'm guessing they are gone forever, correct?
Maybe this has been addressed in this thread, but I can't seem to find it if it has...
I am on my FC, well past Sag A and I decided, for fun, to get one of these prebuilt ships. I bought it, and decided to mess around with optional internals but planned on putting the shields back on it when I was done. That's when I learned that it instantly sells it - no warning - when you do this. I missed this the first time it happened and it automatically sold an engineered module that I had engineered - no warning. Can't see how that's right.
In this thread I saw something about how you can rebuy these things if you do it right away, but that was no an option for me. I can't rebuy them I'm guessing because my FC doesn't have these modules available for purchase. I'm guessing they are gone forever, correct?
I really wish these modules could be kept and stored, but only permitted to be put on the purchased ships instead of just lost forever that easily. I mean, we're paying actual money for these ships.
You can rebuy your pre-built ships for free every time. However if you modify the ship with credit purchased modules then you would need to rebuy that cost.
Apparently, if modules are engineered and the ship is destroyed, the replacement zero rebuy ship will have the existing engineering.but what if you engineer one of the original modules that came with the pre-built ship? Can you rebuy the engineered module? If so, do you just pay credits for the value of the engineering?
