They are? And hows that gonna look in game?
And I enjoyed your consternation after having just done exactly the same thing to me![]()
Are you the same guy who has been saying this on all of the YouTube videos and ignores the responses that explain that it isn't false advertising?
Yes and not sure. You will probably only be able to deploy them once stationary, but the finer details are to be ironed out yet.
Nope true I can see why it may have looked that way, but you did say you agreed with the OPSo let's agree to disagree once again hehe.

ahuh that sounds crap?
Cant get any 'action' shots, no weapons, drone image is..what? Fuzzy? Degraded? sounds horrible
Which would make them virutally useless and a complete waste of time![]()
I'm sorry? What was so terrible about what I said?
Star Citizen won't allow 3rd person view in Combat, it will most likely only be allowed on private servers and then only for vanity purposes
The argument you made was terrible, not anything specific about what you said. Saying "it looks cool in the trailer so it should be in the game" is a terrible argument. I can't believe you need this explained to you, but here goes.
A trailer is like an old "scene" demo - a static, (usually) non-interactive experience. No gameplay considerations need therefore to be made in the choices of art assets, movement, POV, sound, precalculation, audiovisual post-processing, etc etc. The trailer is trying to portray the spirit of the game in a way that grabs the attention.
A game is a dynamic, interactive experience. This has a completely different set of objectives. In the case of a multiplayer game like this one, you can pile a whole new set of balancing criteria on top.
Saying "they can stick feature X in because I want it, and you can simply not use it if you don't want it", when the feature has a chance of affecting other people's gameplay (no matter how small the chance or slight the effect), is just inconsiderate.
Obviously I don't care for external views unless there is a good gameplay reason for their inclusion, like the planned drone mechanic offers. If that's the way they handle it, then I'm all for it.
(I'm sure doing the space equivalent of watching yourself flex (or worse) in the mirror is a desirable aim for some, however. Have fun with that.)
Hello FD,
Can you please remove all videos where we can see external footage / view of the game ? And please do the same on ALL your videos published on Youtube, Vimeo...
Because, If a new visitor can see that, he will think that he will be able to do the SAME in the game but as you know, no external views are allowed... (For unclear, obscure reasons)
I think that is a misleading advertising.
One of my friends said : wow, amazing external views after visiting your website/your youtube channel. And I was forced to said : No, sorry, you'll not be able to have the same views... He said : What ? It's a joke???
I'm ok with your "philosophy" but, don't attract new players with this misleading advertising.
Or give us a permanent and definitive answer about that and when : for me, have a drone camera will not probably let us to make some video like we can see on your website.
Thanks
When you see an advertisement on TV for a new car, do you feel deceived because you will not experience driving it while looking at it from the outside?
