Regardless of of the game a Reddit subforum is on, it's almost always the case that the people there are very devoted to it, it's the reddit mindset. The reason many people are devoted on this forum though, i feel is because the game is brilliant when it's working well, and shouting at the devs when things go wrong isn't going to make it any better.
Apologist or realist. Both wildly different from some entitled manbaby having yet another tantrum about a video game triviality.
Nobody says it's all okay.
People get on my case when I make fun of Frontier but this is exactly why. This was supposed to just be some minor bug fixes, it's not even a content patch of any kind (except for boring Arx garbage). And yet Frontier couldn't even do that correctly. They are made fun of for a reason and it's that they just don't care, don't test, they leave their games by the wayside while trying to act all holier-than-thou in terms of their community communication. But really they are just bad developers, this is like the c-tier devs from college who couldn't make it at a real gaming company.
It's messed up to say, but even Scam Citizen is catching up cause Frontier just got complacent with raking in cash from their IPs.
It'd be nice if they'd actually try but each patch's flaws are just unjustifiable.

There are people who most certainly are, these are the same people preaching "don't play on Patch day" (which is stupid, if we all did that, we'd just discover all the bugs the next day).
Which wouldn't be surprising considering he calls everyone who makes the better argument an apologist. It's just an easy way to ignore valid points so people don't have to question their own 'reasoning'.
If they say don't play on patch day they can't say everything is alright. That's contradictory.

edit: yes we are entitled to have functional product delivered for money spent, are fdev our friends or what are you talking about ? we are their clients and consumers
I haven't seen anyone apologising for FDev in the thread. Please can you point out where as I seem to have missed those posts.

True true, it is just a game so let people complain all they want hey, no skin off my nose or yours.
Luckily for you and me we have somehow gone unharmed by the update, so there's a positive, on the other hand it looks like a lot of people have lost a lot of time and effort with their engineered modules missing, miners are struggling to mine, UI has strange broken things etc.
These folks are absolutely allowed to make complaints without being belittled, patronised, condescended too etc.

This update cut every community Im a part of in half, in less than a few hours. I really hope we can recover from this one because its looking pretty bad
The more stable players are also allowed to point and laugh and say "nice meltdown" or enquire as to availability of stuffz.
