Features that Planet Zoo 2 DEFINITELY needs?

Anyway, I think it will be interesting to see Planet Coaster 2 in its entirety. Once we know what features have been changed and improved upon in that game, we'll have a better idea of what expectations to set for a Planet Zoo sequel.

Edit: My god, the paths...the modular tools...the foliage brush...

I want all the obvious things from PZ2, but I'd also like to see a lot of awkward or glitchy things from the current game fixed. Most pressingly:
  • Staff work-zones. I’m constantly micromanaging the staff, and definitely spend more time doing this than any of the more enjoyable gameplay aspects. It absolutely drains the fun out of playing the scenarios. I’d kill for a more automated work-zone system. And one that makes more sense: caretakers and security guards don’t do their path-based jobs well with the way work-zones currently operate. One idea would be to draw a work-zone "footprint" on the map, and any new facility or exhibit that’s added to this area would automatically be incorporated into the work-zone. Caretakers and security guards would patrol the paths in the footprint.

  • Display an animal’s fence-height and habitat size needs on that animal’s page in the Animal Market. I’m constantly switching between the market and the Zoopedia before making a purchase, and it’d be so much easier if that information was at my fingertips when I’m deciding which animal fits the space I have. If space on the UI really is at a premium, get rid of the fertility / size / immunity stats. I never consider them when making my selection, those things don’t impact gameplay anywhere near as much as putting an animal in a habitat that’s too small or with fences too low.

  • a way of seeing where ‘long grass’ terrain actually is. No animals want it in their habitat, but it’s the default terrain on sandbox maps, and because the terrain blending is so damn good, it can be frustratingly difficult to find and remove!

I agree with basically all the points that @Collembole mentioned, but most strongly:
  • allow keepers to reach elevating feeding platforms via a ladder, without the need to build stairs.
  • “align to terrain” (for placing grass)
  • vegetation stamps for different biomes

And, obviously, better paths (though that seems like a given now, with the improved pathing for PC2)
