Finaly activity on Steam DB. ;)

Not sure why they would release anything near the release date of planet zoo, they want as many people buying and playing that as possible.

while this does have some merit to it....
1. not all Frontier customers are going to be buying or playing PZ.
2. They probably really just care that PZ gets bought...when it comes down to it...do they really care how many people are playing it immediately (except for WOM up sales maybe?)
3. Even if people are buying PZ right now...dedicated players (like myself) would still purchase a DLC for PC if it came out.

For what it’s worth, the “secret project” was updated again yesterday on steam. This is definitely a DLC, and maybe a freebie as well. They are just not ready to let the cat out of the bag yet so they won’t really say that they are working on something even though steam confirms it. This will probably be released after Zoo, maybe late November. That is just my guess.

Hey all. We love the enthusiasm but we're a little concerned some of you are setting yourselves up for disappointment by following speculation and not reading official statements. We once again want to be clear that this activity is nothing to do with new DLC or new content being added to the game. If that changes we will be sure to communicate it with you via the official channels.

What then?If it's not an update then why is there soo much activity? We'll find out anyway one day. There is no way this much activity is going to led to nothing. I know you can't reveal anything. That's the thing you devs have always done, when we noticed activity, but when it's not an update or dlc,why are there devs working on the game. Last time we had the exact same situation was about 2 weeks before the ghostbusters dlc ;)

What about just a stability improvement or bugfixing update? Also very welcome...

If it's a bug fix or stability improvement it should have been released by now, because the final branch and release updates on the db were 3 days ago.

Maybe this time they are actually testing way beforehand and fixing issues they found themselves. Instead of working on it until a minute before release and having to patch it four times in a week like with previous updates. I can imagine this being their "last stand" to work on PlanCo 1, so they want to do it right and make it count. Plus, they probably want to advertise the Zoo spinoff somewhere in the UI and that works better if the game is actually "Now Available!".

The same ‘final branch’ and ‘release update’ always get multiple (re-)updates. This doesn’t give any clue or indication of release-date...
