Fleet Carrier FAQ

Hi Franky,:)

Thank's for the reply, and the link.(y)

Excuse me for being a bit dumb, (Over 10,000 hours of play I should know this! 😖), but where do I find and use my flight log?
I can see recent session log in my Cmdr's profile but no long term history.....

Jack :)
Sorry, I should be clear, it's on EDSM not in-game.

It's one of the menu options when you click the drop-down arrow next to your Commander avatar at top-right. EDSM also has the "import journal" there, if you don't use ED Market Connector or similar for ADI, you can manually drop n' paste your journals from your hard drive.

Don't think that's available in game, long term history for me is stored in EDDiscovery and EDSM, the only thing that stores data older than those two, ie data for the first few months I played, is the visited stars cache, and of course the journal files store your flight data, but my really early ones don't have much data in them at all, basically just the star and jump.

If this is going to happen regularly can you make it possible to set the carrier on a multi-hop course like the normal nav eco and fastest routes work, so i can set this thing off and go and do something else other than waiting.......

in elite dangerous, waiting is core gameplay.

not sure if there could be any other reason why such a feature doesn't exist for carriers... even if you had to manually set each step and live with the step potentially failing when submitted when you can submit.

i would not expect it to support acquiring your jump position from the start of the journey.

Taken me a while to get here a couple of > 25 min jumps on carrier and most at the normal 15M cooldown nonsense. C'mon Fdev give us a break and have the option to multi plot the damn thing it'll have the benefit of getting my lazy crew of their parked asses and do something onboard the ship for the 5M the share for being on it...

hello to anyone reading this, i'm a new proud owner of a carrier and i was wondering about the cost for maintenance per jump. As you know, when a carrier jumps, around 100,000 cr get added to the weekly fee. But i was wondering if that increase was permanent, as if: if i do 7 jumps in a week, then no jumps in another week, does the fee stays the same with the 700,000 cr added to the original weekly fee ?
Sorry if my question either sounds dumb or is completely incomprehensible, english isn't my first language.

You get charged weekly the amount of jumps you make.
No jumps no extra charge

Frontier, the carrier getting stranded in the middle of nowhere with more than 5K Tritium in hold because no one in the damn ship is able enough to move Tritium from the inventory to the depot is absolutely ridiculous. Either remove the core and depot personnel (and their upkeeps) from the ships altogether or make them useful, at least they should be able to refuel the ship without your help.

I wonder how is that possible - to get it stranded in the middle of nowhere that is...
I mean, it's you that jumped the carrier there, right? One jump at a time, right?

Set a sell order for Tritium, allow Friends to land, and ask a friend to move some of the Tritium for you, if they're near enough.

If you have no friends nearby in game, perhaps go on the Fleet Carrier Owner's Club Discord (or do Fuel Rats also cover FCs?)...

I don't think they're out of fuel. They have some, it's just sitting in inventory because they can't move it into the tank without being there and I guess they're nowhere near their carrier and didn't expect to be. tbh, it's a fair request, or even better remove the tank and just draw tritium straight from the hold. 🤷‍♂️

It’s a cargo hold, not a fuel tank. Oil tankers still need separate fuel tanks.

I’d be up for additional fuel tanks, like you can put in our ships, but definitely not up for running a carrier on your cargo. Although this isn’t a Suggestion thread.

Please tell me, does the captain himself move the fuel from hold to tanks or is the job of the crew? What is the job of the FC crew if they can't even move the fuel from the hold to the depot?

We are paying credits for the carriers just to exist, it is justified in-game as "crew expenses", so let the crew do their jobs for once and move the tritium without the captain, that's what I'm asking for.

hello to anyone reading this, i am wondering what's the limit on jumps per weeks using a carrier. can a carrier do more than 100 jumps in one week ?
(all 500 LY jumps)

Depends on how much tritium you have in your hold and how little sleep you’re willing to have.
I have enough of both, so what does the percentage means when you see the number of jumps made this week ? (there's a percentage that shows up and increases every few jumps, right next to the 100 000 cr per jump and the number of jumps made this week if you don't see what i mean)

also sorry if it doesn't make sense, english isn't my first language.
