Requesting Decommission
A carrier owner may decide that they no longer require their fleet carrier. They can request a formal decommission using the Fleet Carrier Management interface.
Owners will be shown the total number of credits that will be reclaimed, alongside the proposed decommission date and the number of assets currently stored. Once confirmed, the fleet carrier will be classed as Pending Decommission.
Upon decommissioning a fleet carrier, pilots will receive a remunerative sum contingent on the following:
- The purchase cost of all installed facilities aboard the carrier
- The galactic average price for all non-stolen commodities stored on board and the minimum sale price for all stolen commodities.
If a fleet carrier voluntarily decommissioned, a fee of 125,000,000 cr is deducted from the refund, along with any outstanding debt.
After Decommission
Following decommission, any credits remaining in the fleed carrier budget will be returned to the owner, minus any running costs incurred since the decommission request was submitted. A final inbox message breaking down the total of credits reclaimed will be sent to the owner.
Pilots with ships or modules stored on the newly decommissioned carrier will be informed of the situation via inbox message. These assets can be recovered by following the instructions provided in this message.
