Problem 1) Sometimes you see a system where the nearest Frontline Solutions to a war location is thousands of light seconds away, total buzzkill. You'll spend more time flying than fighting, unless you park your own ship next to the fight and do log off - log in shenanigans.
Problem 2) Fleet carriers owners hardly ever include the Pioneer Supplies service, there's very little need, there's nothing you can buy there that you couldn't have gotten from a normal station. Kinda expensive for something that doesn't get used.
Solution) Transform the current pioneer supplies service on fleet carriers into a ground combat service instead. Give it both a Pioneer Supply desk and a Frontline Solutions desk.
Then fleet carrier owners could jump into system directly in orbit of a contested moon or planet, allowing everyone to use their carrier as a staging point for combat. Then players who want to participate in the war to do so without log off shenanigans or exorbitant Frontline Solutions flight times.
Potential complications) what if carrier jumps out during your match? Probably move your active ship to nearest dockable station/settlement and have Frontline drop you off there. Or just kick you back out in orbit of the planet/moon at the conclusion of your match, it might not be immersive but no worse than log off tricks, right? Or just leave them stranded and make them call an apex shuttle, lol.
Alternative solution) Give Frontline Solution small pop-up outposts that they put in orbit of combat zone just during wars for mercs to dock at and be ferried down to the surface. You can even put them in geostationary orbit near the cz, so you're not flying around half of the circumference of the entire planet. That solves the insane flight time, but not the pioneer service usefulness. You could always give the fleet carrier pioneer supplies rare spawns just like normal stations.
