I wonder if that is because it is in the Codex?
Ah, maybe. Though apparently there's an entry for one of those in Shinrarta Dezhra and the people I was talking about it who were there couldn't find it. *shrugs*

I just arrived there after a bit of buckyballingThe phenomenon popped on my Nav Panel after the honk, no need to open the FSS. That's something.
Ah! I’ve been tuned to the USS range all this time. Guess I’ll go have another look through the Pleiades again.Lagrange Clouds, I will check records and see where they come in on the frequency scale.
Appears to be this one;
It depends how close you are I think, the first one on entry appeared for me, it was quite close to me around the primary star, but the others are around one of the secondary stars, did they appear on first honk? I'm sure I had to find them using the FSS, but once there they remain in the nav panel. I think it's like the USS's, you can either find them using the FSS or get close enough and they appear.
Just to add that after checking about 15 systems I have found another Lagrange Cloud, this was classed as a different type, so far each coud has had its own entry in the codex with its own unique life forms, I wonder how many different ones there are?
Interesting. I had one pop up on my nav panel, it was one of two on the secondary star, 86kls away. After using the FSS, I got the second one there and the one back at the main star... *thonk*
Yes strange, I think from what was stated some of these things are supposed to appear for all CMDRS once in the codex, not sure if the Lagrange Clouds fall into that category but it would make sense if they did. Currently I am not sure if the codex is working as intended though, some of the discoveries I have made appear there, but others slightly different but in the same category don't, so maybe the far one was already in the codex but the others hadn't gone in correctly and thus weren't available for all players. Well it is the beta, that's why we are here, hunting bugs!
Do terraformables have a special signal? I like exploring to find potential new homes![]()
Oh well, at least it will end up showing us much sooner if it really is terraformable with the fss.I've looked out for this but not that I know of. The waveforms on the bar don't seem to mean anything and there doesn't seem to be a correlation between the pattens and the terraforming abilities of a body.
Indeed
Btw, if you're still in the vicinity and want to hook up this weekend, Dr Kaii and myself will be filming some footage for the DW2 trailer video. Mo' ships the merrier.

I have had the same problem. It seems that more massive objects mask the signal you are looking for. So if you are tuned to a rocky world and it happens to be a moon of a gas giant, you won't see it. The arrow patterns will only show the gas giant. And you can't zoom in on the gas giant to see it's moons, unless you are tuned to the gas giant.I'm confused about scenarios on that bar. If I tune the frequency to the scenarios area, directly over one of the scenario circles that I can sometimes see - how do I then find that particular scenario in the FSS skybox? I've looked everywhere in a number of systems that show things in that part of the frequency range but can never find them.

It's annoying. IMO the tuning is an unnecessary step making the whole process overly complex. We have computers that should be able to auto-tune to whatever we are trying to zoom in on.
It would be easier to cherry pick the planets you want to scan if ONLY the arrow pattern you are tuned to would show up.
No you can't. At least I can't. The arrows for the rocky world are not visible and I can't zoom in on a moon system without being tuned to it. But maybe I just don't know how....
That still seems strange tho' because, if you're tracking a rocky world signal that's hidden inside a gas giant signal then you can follow the arrows to that can't you? and then zoom in without having to re-tune to the gas giant's frequency first?
...
If there is no spike on the frequency spectrum, then it's already resolved and should show up on the nav panel or system map... What I'm now thinking is that scenario signals are automatically resolved immediately after the honk so, unlike undiscovered signals which have spikes on the waveform and arrows that can be followed, they have neither.

I believe that like USSs, Scenarios can be anywhere in the system, so sticking to orbital planes will leave you little chance to find them.
Is that the deal? That the scenarios are inside other signal areas (which need to be zoomed into before the scenarios can be seen), rather than being free floating signals around the system like the other USS signals at the bottom end of the range that you CAN find this way?
