Games that should be remade.

Would love to see X-wing vs Tie fighter remade.
Why XvT?
For starters, I enjoyed that there was no half-baked story. In fact there pretty much was no story. This encouraged you to use your imagination.
Second, is the flight model. I'm a big fan of the frontier true newtonian flight model, but XvT has the most enjoyable and practical flight model added into a combat space sim (that I've played) to date.

Had a lot of fun with this game, and still do. Now one of my favourite games is been made, Elite, with the original developers. Fingers crossed for this outcome for xvt also. ;P

Woah remake of Laser Squad! I loved that game, many an idle hour was spent playing that with friends :)

Did you also realise that Laser squad was really just a remake of Rebelstar Raiders?

oops, missed this. Yep, I remember Rebelstar Raiders. :) Need to up my game (so to speak), coding has ground to a halt!

There appears to be a remake of Syndicate. I have to admit i only played Syndicate Wars and enjoyed it, though that was a long time ago. It was the first time i used a hex editor to cheat me some coins :D

Also loved to play Mystic Quest, Zelda and the like on all platforms (dear nes, snes, gameboy memories...).

The Chaos engine was great as were Xenon, Speedball and Sensible Soccer. I also remember being blown away by Shadow of the Beast on my Amiga.

Yes the chaos engine was really cool but I have never finished it :(
There was a remake of speedball but I haven't test it ...

Was just think of those 2.

Also spent a lot of time playing Boulderdash I, II and III, Wizball and Defender of the Crown.

Other games I played to death have already been mentioned in this thread.

You can get Mercenary ported to PC, in fact all three freely from

That would be a fantastic remake.

Two more ones I'd like that I'm sure no one else would are
-The Secret of Bastow Manor
