Its about time, not money. PC Gamer, Eurogamer, IGN, Polygon and so forth dont care about the couple of bucks a key cost, but they do care about being there went their competition starts posting on it. Frontier isn't nearly big enough to bully major outlets into obedience, so if EDO sucks they'll gladly tell the world all about it. Heck, not even CPR was big enough to prevent each of them from posting multiple articles about how disappointing it was day after day.

This lolbucketfest is not about journalism; we all will get a fine view of what EDO is and isn't from actual proper game journalists.

i'll grant you that they knew he would publish their second message. his response is weak, too hasty. to me it is clear that both parties have already realized they screwed up and are busy with damage control. in other news, frontier is much bigger than yamiks. and i can perfectly see them doubling down on their extreme pc nonsense, and that's it. i can even see people cheering at that on the forum!

anyway there can still come a lot more fun out of this! here's hoping!

The reason Yamik doesn't get a key is because he is a professional dingleberry, and if he were an adult he grew a pair and simply accept the consequences of his own choices. I am not sure how limited one's social experiences must be to not understand that if you spend literal years namecalling people they don't want to work with you much. But sure, now they spelled it out for him. Hope he is satisfied but somehow I doubt it.

Frankly I could not envision that kind of outcry happening if Hardware Unboxing would've been some sort of potty humor tech review channel.

You are more than likely right but had Fdev just been honest and open in the first place and told Yamiks why he was not getting a key (as I now see they have from the update) then much of this could have been avoided imho. I still would not have agreed with them (embrace your fiercest critics and all that) but I would have respected their honesty.

Then again had they done so I would probably never have been motivated to get on my high horse and make a forum account after six years .......... so maybe they knew what they were doing all alomg ....dumm dum duuuuum!
