Going against your own word - "infiltrators" please note

I know of a lot of PvPers that get all personal or out of game attackey over e-spaceships if use don’t play by their rules of engagement and will spout on about unbalanced play... heal beams, gimbals, speed couriers, missiles, etc...

Do you have specified examples of this RL attacking occuring? If I were you I would report them.

Also, in before lock. I have a feeling this thread is on life support.

Hey man. Thanks for the response. You're absolutely correct in everything you said. Very level headed approach to the situation. I would argue that you're enjoying the game to a higher level than a solo only player

Yes, I think I am definitely enjoying the game far more in Open than I would in Solo. My friends list resulting from positive interactions with other CMDRs is larger than my block list from griefers so for me the potential for positive interactions is well worth the occasional frustration I might encounter.

What I find most hilarious about threads like these is all the people going "it's just a game..." but the second someone quits the game on them to avoid losing their ship they start frothing at the mouth and when people attack their precious faction from Solo or PG (or just end up in a different instance) they scream their little heads off. It's just a game remember...
This exactly. Hypocrisy is a requirement for ED.

Didn't read your wall of text beyond the FACT that you agreed that players who go against their word are not to be trusted.

At last. You realised your error. Only took several reiterations of me saying incontrovertible truth. Some people can be so stubborn and obtuse that even when they finally concede the incontrovertible truth, they *still* post a wall of text. (Which I didn't read).

Cheerz

Quite a shame you didn't read his post. Because you actually got a certain part of yourself handed to you in a very polite and eloquent way there.

Not really it was a very longwinded way of saying you can't judge a persons trustworthiness based purely on their obvious lack of it in a video game.

Given that we all only interact in the video game its irrelevant, as no other form of trustworthiness really matters in this context.

Some of us do more interacting on the forum than the game...

I sent that in-game friend request a few days ago, btw.

Maybe you missed it.

You'd have to be following DW2 to catch me for a fight now, but i'm not above multicrew battles.

Not playing like I used to, but I'm still around.

I saw it and laughed, I left you hanging to see if you mentioned it in the forum.

Lets recap the last time I was on your friends list. You got upset about me telling players about block, and said you'd come and teach me a lesson in game. I mocked the probability of you finding me, then gave you my CMDR name ship and location to make it easier for you even accepting your friend request.

A few months later having seen hide not hair of you I pointed out that you never played in open whilst you were criticizing solo players here in the forum. Giving my friends list showing you as always playing in solo as my reasoning for this.

You made excuses about engineering in solo then unfriended me in a sulk.

So lets play this out logically, I'm guessing exactly the same as last time.

Bob,

You have issues.

You could find me in open any time you wanted to.

But you didn't.

I PvP. In open.

I am not afraid to lose space pixels.

I am not afraid to "lose face" because I lost to a "carebear".

I'm not even that good at the game.

Your asinine fear of SDC kept you from even trying.

DG2 is the first time I've flown with the bois (the very few who still play anyway) in forever.

I didn't really think it would be any different this time around, but I thought to extend the ole olive branch before I bow out.

A simple fight would have been fun, but whatever.

This isn't how you bait people, Bob.

It's just not how it works.

This is just sad.

Enjoy your block list. ;)

It's statements like this that make me question your knowledge of the game, Bob.

And maybe the English language... but we'll chock that one up to the rapid heart rate and shortness of breath you experienced in replying to me.

Actual PvP is much better, but you might still get there one day.

I'm only leaving E:D, BTW.

Should you ever want some honest PvP payback, you can find Zaphod Hawke in Star Citizen.

I know you won't... but the character you dislike so much will still be active in PvP regularly, just not here.

Note that i used the term character as you seem to not actually use one like the rest of us. [haha]

It's a game, Bob.

Lighten up.

So in your mind does that read "Stigbob will you please play the video game with me".

Well, considering the pathetic attitude of these "bois" you speak of, it's great to hear that very few are still playing. May there be even fewer going forward.

By the way - and I feel I must point this out - in the 'all-male' circles in which people of my persuasion move, the word "boi" spelt with an 'i' is widely known to have different connotations to that which you and your associates might intend (in fact, I'm sure there's a certain nightclub in Bangkok called 'Spicy Bois'). Perhaps you could pass that on to them and consider a different phrase.

Whats wrong with spicy bois? :/

Actually Stigbob, I'm surprised that so many of these posts are interpreted any other way.

I've tried to get you to engage many times, but always unsuccessfully.

The risk averse crowd has always had all the tools they needed to avoid PvP in this game, but they have steadfastly insisted upon changing the game to facilitate their playstyle.

You are a cham-peen of these unwashed masses, oh risk-averse one.

TBH, there were never actually any plans in place to gank you.

Nobody else associated with SDC ever cared at all.

It wasn't even mentioned once.

I just happened to grow up watching Space:1999.

Simple as that.

Some of us have never heard of any such thing.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If that's your thing.
