Help me understand why I had to die . . . trying to make some cash to grade up my Cutter.
Christ man get some perspective.fear in a computer game. Only in ED have a seen a fire fighter and an RAF vet called cowards due to how they play a game..... Fear has fig all to do with it, it is about enjoyment of an entertainment product. Due to the fact that the game is laughably soft on those who choose to play in a certain manner, I just choose.not to play with them. Imagine 2 beaches 1 allows dogs on and doesn't punish owners who allow them to mess on the sand...and another which does not allow dogs. When you run and hide from the bullies and then cry about it, it only emboldens them. They're like telemarketers or scam-callers. Either turn the tables or waste their time. Stop living in fear.

I don't have a dog so why would I choose to face even the slight risk of standing in their muck when I don't have to?
That said open is open...... If you don't like it don't play in it , no point complaining about it. FD have chosen to not give consequences against a certain play style for 6 years I can only conclude that they are ok with it. Open is MadMax . If you want that embrace it of not choose another mode
In my experience it makes little difference what mode I'm in... Outside the usual systems it feels identically empty (sadly). To be fair sometimes I do just drop to group, depends on the mood I'm in & whether or not I want to interact with others. Usually I am happy to, sometimes I just want to be alone.
He can't help it...
Probably believes that owning a 'pair' makes him special too...
(assuming he is old enough for them to have dropped, of course)
. They're like telemarketers or scam-callers.
GTA online is another classic example of a single player game I respect combined with a multiplayer game I dislike. (Same with RDR - not played 2)Sounds similar to gta getting ganked on sell missions. Out of nowhere, rocket...boom (wasted time, effort and desire to play).
The feeling left after having no chance is the best game development can come up with!? "To hell with open".
No, the owners of those don't usually consider they are a requirement to be able to be a successful aggressor... and, of course, are normally much 'harder' than the wimps who carry a couple of growths about in a bag...A pair of ovaries?
How can someone go to Davs Hope and kill these harmless ships thats so evil!!
Someone should protect that system and make it a safer place for everyone.
They are playing the game correctly hoping someone relogs into open by mistake.
You are feeding them by playing with mistakes.
Very clever of them(if you like that sort of thing)
I tried in the past, it's a thankless job, and on top of that it's quite immersion breaking because patrolling around Dav's will have you witness ships plopping in and out of the instance like magic because people keep re-logging.How can someone go to Davs Hope and kill these harmless ships thats so evil!!

You can try like I did, but they just fly around near the planet so that you get planetary interference and can't interdict them. It just becomes an annoying game of tag that doesn't get anywhereeven if they engage you, they will just log out on you. It's done just to annoy you further.
mining in open is just not a good idea...mining is a task not an adventure.
I think a lot of the pristine rings are in anarchy systems as there are no stations there to spoil the reserve rating. Just another reason why I mine in solo when in the bubble.
Hunting miners deep inside rings is great fun in open play but only if in an anarchy systems (I don't need my stellar record sculled) I love the heart pounding shock I know is happening on the other end as they did not expect to see me out there in the middle of nowhere just happily mining away, whether they escape depends on them really, generosity goes a very long ways but running, not so much, although I always let them escape maybe with 2% hull or something because of my humanity (OK maybe not always). Hey, if someone is mining in an anarchy system in open play as a new player they especially need this type of 'education' its actually very exciting for them (at least that's what I tell myself that is) ;-).
I can't find a system without that annoying as F pirate that spawn on top me every single solitary time I go mining...I even unloaded and went back FN pirate tries to interdict me with a hold full of limpets. (No type of wanted lvl either). I hate how they've programmed that! Prolly should be checking my hold for stowaways (a guy with a long range tracking device).I mine in open all the time just because I can't be bothered switching modes. In anarchy systems on the edge of the bubble the vast majority of the time.
However: I don't mine at the "omg everyone mine here this system is great" sites, especially since overlaps have been nerfed. The only time I've ever encountered another player mining is when I've deliberately gone looking for them - and the way I found them was by looking up "omg here's a great mining spot" lists for people that don't want to do the prospecting part for themselves.
