One of us... One of us...

Thought I'd travel to Hutton Orbital in the Alpha Centari System, said something about free Anaconda.
Man was that a mistake never going again, in the time it took me to get there from entering system I had gone over the shop, made dinner, eaten dinner, drank a cuppa tea and still not there yet, are u kidding me thats rediculus. What is the point of that, please let ships go faster when it's a very long way away cos that was total waste of time if I don't get Anaconda I will never go there again.
Oh yeah and wrote this post aswell, still another 2 mins to go.

Our ED ships are travelling 2001 max to get to hutton orbital 0.2 Ly. 2001c is about warp 9.89 in the revised ST:TNG scale, and almost warp 13 in the TOS scale. For Kirk and crew , the 0.2Ly trip would be a couple of patient duty shifts (during commercial break of the show) duration cruising at warp 7 at 343c/656c. So it's funny how an ED ship can warp faster than ST ships in the 34th century yet some have instant gratification qualms about the duration and far less patience and appreciation of the vastness of space than 23rd century crew on the Enterprise, and also many other sci-fi worlds. I'd guess a segment of the ED playerbase couldn't care less about preserving some of the fidelity of realistically vast space travel and would only prefer omniprescent-wavium instant travel like STD's 'spore' drive, or the SG shows.

in ST, Vulcan (~ Procyon) is about 20+ Ly from Sol where the Enteprise typically averaged 5Ly/day. Cruising about warp 7 (343c) it would take about 4 days : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm6rLAyMFnI&feature=youtu.be&t=1m56s

A more recent sci-fi example. In "Prometheus" , Vickers asks David how long it took (to reach Zeta 2 Reticulae, 34.6 Ly from Earth). They were traveling at 14.5c (about warp 2.1). ED's max supercruise would take about 6.3 days:

I docked there ofc and i accessed the station contacts. I think going with the orca has something to do with the free anaconda option appearing :p

Orca seems a tad expensive. E-rated Type 7 was sufficient for me. Good thing, since there's no outfitting available there.

Been there twice. First time was way back in my rookie days and I didnt know any better. Swore I would never go back. Ya, well, I was flipping through the contracts looking for good paying ones. I find this really nice one and accept it along with some other contracts. A bit later I discover it is going to Hutton. Soooooo.................! At least it paid good.

Yeap. Never been, never plan to. Y'all can keep your mug ;-)

I've been to Hutton Orbital a few times now and I've found that the free Anaconda only appears if you don't walk away from your PC for long periods of time. Getting a drink or going for a toilet break is fine but doing other activities like going to the shop, cleaning your flat or watching a movie breaks the free Anaconda mechanic.

I think Frontier want you to actually fly there and doing micro-adjustments to your flight along the way helps the free Anaconda appear.
