Intriguing. Is this post or pre Mycoid exposure?
The first log and its non-living sample mentions corrosive. Is this hull sample, or dead Thargoid sample? Does destroyed resin damage the Thargoid itself? I assume the resin is actually from the ships (would be awfully weird for it to be part of the Thargoid itself), and so that indicates it's just damage from whatever ship it was in (like us getting damage from spalling in a tank). It could also indicate Thargoid-on-Thargoid weapons fire? No matter what the source, Mycoid isn't corrosive.
However, it mentions a possible contaminant detected, and this could be the Mycoid. The issue with this is the last log. Why go about exposing the living sample to biological and chemical weapons if you've already exposed them to Mycoid? Could just be testing it for direct observation, or seeing what happens to a Thargoid rather than their ships because this is the first one. Could just be this site doesn't know about Mycoid?
If it's pre-Mycoid, I can imagine this creature to be like a refugee (Oresrian?) from its description before they began testing. If it's after Mycoid, then I assume it's just the exposure that explains things.
