JWE 2

The coming Competition?

Source: https://youtu.be/t_68sGMqHHU

If there is a JWE2 in the works. Do you think that this would push for it to be better, if the push from fans isn't enough?

I hope that it does help fuel ambition to work on a sequel. Not simply because of Prehistoric Kingdom, but also the changes the gaming space will be like in 2021 when the next movie comes out.

If a sequel does indeed come out, it has the new console platforms to work with that would allow for more content to be rendered at a time. Likewise, Frontier's current Cobra engine has been optimized to have Planet Coaster to work on consoles, even the PS4 and XBO. So it would be harder to imagine a supposed JWE2 to face similar limitations to JWE due to console limitations, as that should be an issue of the past.

Common major complaints I hear are:
• Lack of micro management
• Lack of baby dinosaurs
• Lack of map space/customizable personal island
• Lack of advanced A.I. (like hunting, advanced combat, peaceful interactions, different escapes for dinosaurs.)
• Lack of dinosaur differentiation within a species (scars, slight size differences, potential genetic mutations).
• Lack of individual guest A.I.
• Lack of decorations / customization
• Lack of more specialized buildings.
• Lack of a proper first person experience.
• Unengaging campaign mode story

I do not believe all of these things would be addressed, but they are elements that could be added in a more advanced engine that JWE is currently running that fans would really like. I do not think Prehistoric kingdom would be that big of a competition, as both games would cater to different audiences. Where Prehistoric kingdom has a bigger focus on scientific accuarcy, creativity, and a more dinosaur documentary like setting. Jurassic World Evolution 2 has the Jurassic Park/World movie IP and would be more brand heavy because of it (Movie dinosaurs, movie focused, JP/W lore heavy), which could hinder the creativity level a bit, but has a rich lore with the novels and movies to work with. Plus Frontier are more adapted to porting their games to other consoles at this point, so JWE 2 would have a larger audience to access to compared to Prehistoric Kindgom.

That being said, I do hope JWE 2 would wow us into getting the game over JWE. I do feel like that Frontier has grown tremendously with their business sim games. They have Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution, and Planet zoo in their resume, and I did notice that they do learn with their previous games and apply the potential updates to their next titles. I recalled how fans wished the dinosaurs had more elements in early times of JWE like scars from fights, aging, mutations, and size variations, which were elements later included in planet zoo. And if JWE2 is going to happen, they have the movie hype, an updated engine, and a larger audience to impress. JWE is fun, and I wish for it to be a stepping stone to JWE2, and introduce new gameplay options to wow us in, and deliver something that would only be possible with the Jurassic Park IP.

At this point I am curious what is happening. The complete edition of JWE is coming to the switch, and I do not know if they would do the same for consoles and PC so new players do not buy the entire game and DLC when a complete version is available for a price similar to the Deluxe edition of JWE. Especially with Covid-19 I do not think we would hear about JWE soon. Also, as a hunch, I think we may not get JWE 2 when the movie comes out, and it could be like JPOG where the game could be released way after the movie, so as to deliver a more optimized experience and allow for a more streamlined gaming experience, but also allow for easier updates and implementations.

What do you think with all of this? I was hoping to expect at least a patch update to launch alongside the switch version to fix some bugs the game has and do stuff like allow all dinosaurs to be used in Jurassic Park era challenge mode. Prehistoric will be gettting more traction once it is out of early acess, and I am looking forward to both releases when they are going to happen.

If they do a have a JWE2 I hope they start with a roster of 50 Lore and Canon Species in the game Sequel. Except Hybrids I think they deserve their own DLC like sea creatures and flying reptiles.

I wouldn't be able to agree as Prehistoric Kingdom being more to a reality when it's a greater fantasy than JP/JW. I do agree we may see many things in a possible JWE2. Especially since JW3 is pushed to 2022. This gives so much more lead way to plan out and have more forethought of the game. I for one wouldn't want to be busy in game all the time. Especially by adding more in personalities and greater AI that I have mentioned before. I would want to enjoy the animals. As I have described a vast number in addition to what is in game as well as to experience unexpected dramatic/cinematic events. Like that of the franchise. I would love the introductions to trophy kills and other poses that would go with it. I've numbered several ideas in my first statement in introduction to this topic. I hope the creativity of PK does push a bit more for JWE2 to add more creativity and a greater emphasis on the animals and tourist. There is so much that can be involved to give us a feeling of the franchise and expand it beyond.

Many ideas would work in this game but have to remember it is more than just management. It is to have some thrill/awe and action. This starts by further concentrating on one animal alone in making it have a life of it's own and then expand to others of the same and variety. Hope we would see more of that passion in the possible JWE2.

I also hope for a vast amount of JW3 games: action/ adventure/ rpg/ thrill/ survival and so on. So much potential that I hope is taken hold of and brought into reality. Especially with the next gen consoles coming. :)

I would hope they would all cross over to JWE2 and then vastly be expanded with other dinos, hybrids, mammals, pterosaurs and aquatics. So much hinted at and so much in possibilities. I just hope there animations and AI aren't just carbon copies. I hope there would be more variety among all the animals.

New update on Jurassic World Dominion, it has been delayed to Summer 2022.

From the link, this choice to delay the movie is made to help aid partners of Jurassic World Dominion to complete their products for the movie.

Studio insiders say Dominion is a huge priority for NBCUniversal. The franchise boasts a myriad of theme park tie-ins, merchandising partnerships, live events and more. Universal and Amblin want to ensure that deadlines for retail partners can be met.

I think the added year should be a breather for Frontier to work on the sequel to JWE if it is indeed in the works.
Covid-19 is a pain to bear, so I hope everyone is taking care.

You know what would be an awesome thing? What if they made moments in JWE2 that would be awe inspiring like to that of the first time we see brachiosaurus in JP. Where the developers look at the creation and gets that same stirring when stuttering it's a dinosaur! Where that magic happens again and again without getting old. To have dramatic cinematic events and scenes as the first time seeing the T Rex breakout. Herds moving and living together beyond what is known in the franchise. Then to expand those moments/situations in variety throughout the game. Just imagine and then what will come with the likes of Dominion. Hope we hear something soon. :)

put Jurassic world Evolution to I would definitely choose for the starting roster quality over quantity at the very start of the game maybe Frontier could take some notes from Prehistoric Kingdom and with all due respect and beautiful animations to make the dinosaurs more lifelike have more interaction with each other and with the environment that they have around them and also have the dinosaurs have more interaction especially the herbivores with the tourist feeding them making them quite unique compared to other dinosaur games. Each species having their own Unique Mechanics as well as mechanics that make them interesting to watch that makes them look like living breathing animals.

Quality Roster at Launch of Jurassic world Evolution 2 species
1. Tyrannosaurus Rex
2. Allosaurus
3. Brachiosaurus
4. Apatosaurus
5. Stegosaurus
6. Gallimimus
7. Carnotaurus
8. Baryonyx
9. Velociraptor

20. Mamenchisaurus
21. Hadrosaurus
22. Compsognathus
23. Concavenator
24. Mosasaurus
25. Pteranodon

don't get me wrong I still love Jurassic world Evolution the first game currently but I feel like more could have been done to make the animals more lifelike and more interesting to watch because currently there more robotic so yeah Frontier I respect you don't get me wrong I'm just doing a small little adjustment to my list of species. so I really hope all of you agree with this list quality over quantity kind of like Prehistoric Kingdom of course

I'm really hoping they hit both on quality and quantity. Plus so much more. Have to wait and see but keep on hoping. :)

Maybe to get some more ideas or to have a good laugh or both :)

Moats wold be a good thing to be able to build and to upgrade to shock collar kind of things. Hope everyone is good. Also was wondering what you all think might be brought in from Battle at Big Rock and Dominion. Where there might be more civilian stuff like campsites, vehicles and stuff outside of our parks? Will there be main land territories to build on instead of just the islands in JWE2?

Nice list, mine is definitely quite extensive lol. Ah, well, I know there's some leaks out there. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. :) Nice to hope and make our dreams known in the meantime. :)
