List of Earth-like worlds, v3

Hello CMDR Tootiny popping in with a question. Yesterday was my best day so far: I found 3 earth likes in a span of 4 hours [yesnod]
However I don't know what to assign the star this one orbits. Its orbiting between 2 T-type stars.
Any input please?

@ osser: oh, that looks like a nice find. As far as I can tell from the redacted system map, it orbits stars B and C, no? So the planet's name would be [...] BC 3. In that case, if the system were, say, "K7 VA, M9 VI, L2 V" then the ELW's would be "M9 VI, L2 V". In any case, it's a rare find, as only two other Earth-likes have been discovered orbiting T dwarfs. Out of 2722.

@ Zieman: thanks for looking them up! You needn't have bothered though, as I looked the star class up when I put your find into the list.

@ Titler: generally, I need the distances from Sol too, as I don't spend much time in the bubble these days. Lucky for you, I am there right now, getting ready for my next expedition out, so I'll be able to look the distances up myself and then add your systems to the list. But after I leave, it'll be weeks before I can do so. I can look the exact star class up whenever, of course.

Thanks Marx, actually the main jump in star is a Neutron. I can PM you the un redacted screenshot and maybe you can PM me back how to name it as I'm still a bit confused.

An interesting one, this: galmap shows it as a binary with a class III gas giant, but with the giant being 2,3723 earth masses - 1,141 times that of the earthlike - I'd say it is more of a moon.

Hm, that looks interesting. Could you post a screenshot of the gas giant's detailed info too? I'm curious about its orbital characteristics.

#4 and #10 has a landable moon

#17 orbits 4 stars (2 Binaries) and has a landable moon, unfortunately I arrived at a time, where the ELW was visible from the night-side of the moon, and the 4 stars from the other side. Must be a fantastic view, to see the ELW + the 4 suns altogether in the sky...if that would be possible, because the moon is tidally locked?

Yup. An ammonia world, with carbon-ammonia based life but no atmosphere - not quite sure about how well that would work.
Probably some simple life (for example, bacteria) living in the soil, or maybe in the seas and lakes of those ammonia worlds.
Oh, and thanks for posting the gas giant info! Looks like about what I expected, and it has a semi-major axis smaller than 0.01 AU. The barycenter might not be far from the giant.

Welcome back! And yep, I checked, that one is now the record holder for both the most distant moon and also the most distant landable moon.
And say, since you discovered MYEIA THAA ZE-R D4-0 and its three moons, now that we're in Horizons, would you mind checking the system map to see how many of those moons are landable? Thanks!

I discovered it on 06 NOV 3301, but forgot to make the Screenshot of the system-map. I made it later on 21 DEC 3301. Meanwhile the system is tagged by VALIDATING. That must be a XBOX-CMDR. So we do not know the real name of the CMDR until FD fixes this or the CMDR reports here.

If you are in "advanced" edit and you have the cursor within the table - there is a button for table properties. In here you can select the border types as non, outline or full. (Last button group, second button from the left).

A couple of notes. I had a handful of systems where my local system map data was broken, despite having screenshots. I raised a ticket to confirm tagging, but it seems 2 were not mine. Hmph. Unfortunately, I don't know who the tagger was but if I'm ever close to them again I will check. I've tried to note where the system is in a nebula but wasn't sure how close it had to be to count for that. For the black hole system, it has other stars hanging off the main star - but I've put No for multiple stars - I assume this means main stars not stars hanging off mains. Made more complicated that the ELW for that system is hanging off an M which hangs off the black hole. Similarly for the herbig ae/be system, there are T Tauris present but I said No to multiple stars. A good portion of the screenshots are pre-Horizons and so do not include gravity. Feel free to tidy up the notes. I've checked a few of the URLs but let me know if anything isn't right.

My favourite is still probably the last one, Zunuae SO-Z d13-8380 - ringed ELW orbiting a neutron, and the only star/planet in the system, discovered over a year ago.


Edit: @Marx - forgot to add, I've not cross referenced this against list to check for dupes. There is at least 1 dupe as there is one of yours in there (Little Gem one). I doubt there are others, but not checked.

And here we have the first confirmed report of an Earth-like world orbiting a Herbig Ae/Be star. Right on, Commander - and welcome to the list!
I'm still working on going through your entries, but in the meantime, a few things to note:

Is this where the planet(s) show up as empty black circles? If so, then feel free to include those screenies as well - as long as the text "Earth-like world" is visible, it's fine.

I've tried to note where the system is in a nebula but wasn't sure how close it had to be to count for that.
It only has to be in the nebula's sector. I've added the procedural nebulae you noted to the "In Nebula Sectors" sheet.

The first one was a very lucky find. When I go looking for ELW-s in nebula sectors, I often have to survey over 100 hand-picked systems till I find one. This time, it was in the third system I checked. Also, when I flew to the moon to check the view of the planet from there, I was quite pleased to note that the moon is on a near-polar orbit: inclination is 85.92 degrees, while the planet itself has an orbital inclination of -0.12 degrees. The moon has an orbital period of 58.3 days, but I was lucky enough to visit it when it was nearly directly over the polar ice cap: so, instead of seeing a pale blue dot from the moon, I saw a white half-circle with a pale blue outer ring. I'd very much like to see how the moon's path on the sky might look from the planet's surface, especially since the moon has an axial tilt of 20 degrees while the ELW's is 128 degrees.
Also, I quite like the "Hubble's Variable sector" name.
