Sounds like they are about to go into expansion again. Will be interesting to see when the stations in HR start flipping

Is there a state beyond boom currently. or does sustaining a boom cause anything additional to happen. Will be interesting to see if the devs have yet activated the ability to upgrade an outpost. yet to see any sign of it in pand either. But still it gives them a eason now to perhaps activate some of the other features if they are so ready coded and ready to turn on.

Just had to do some trading from mikunn to pand interesting to see the changes happening

Current Percentages:

Dukes of Mikunn 34% (+2,1%) (Boom)
HR 7327 Dynamic Commodities 27,7% (-0,7%) (Civil Unrest)
Law Party of HR 7327 22,6% (-1,1%)
HR 7327 Silver Societey 9,9% (-0,2%)
New HR 7327 Future 5,9% (-0,1%)

I belive you should now be able to start Civil War, just wonder how to do it (?)

Just dropping this post from the main Mikunn thread here in case MB is reading. It might have just been a bug but it felt like something more - maybe a scripted event that didn't quite fire off correctly?

Something very weird just happened. Mexarmandin, Grasshupfer and I were killing feds at Gabriel Station when suddenly 8 contacts appear all together. We went over to investigate and found this:

A wing of Dukes sidewinders just sitting there! They didn't do anything. I've never seen this happen before before.

According to GlyphGryph, by attacking traders and security vessels around a station. They kept it up for a day, and that started Civil War. He said they've done it twice. They may have had a lot more players with the force of the Goon Fleet behind them.

This was yesterday at Gabriel, a Law Party station. So far, no change in state or pending state. May have to switch tactics and go for Friend Station. Guess we'll see how things go after the new patch first.

After 3 weeks and 2 days I was finally able to get my system into an active boom state. Although I hope that the amount of time it took is not intended and merely a result of the bugs that have been addressed so far what confuses me at this point is the following:

1) I see no "seeking luxuries" spots on the system. I was expecting to find them after reading the feedback from other players in other systems. Can you guys tell me where are they usually found and if you can see them on the left panel anywhere from the system or if you have to be close? I have a star some 100's of LS away from the main star - is it possible the traders are spawning there and I don't see them?

2) The market that my minor faction controls did not change one bit from before the the boom being active. In fact it shares the same prices as the main minor faction in the system for most things which is reason number two that leads me to believe I am in a "bugged boom".

Another thing I am also disappointed is that after so many days the main minor faction in the system actually controls more influence than when I started. Although I was able to raise my influence (very, very slowly and it even seems that trading does more for it than missions) it seems to have come at the cost of the other minor factions in the system and not the controlling one. Not sure if I am doing it wrong here since others do not seem to have this issue.

I'll update my ticket for this with the changes but if you guys can shed some light from your own experiences I would be appreciated.

No major changes in percentages Law Party lost a tenth of one percent...no one gained. Law party did get Pending Civil unrest critical and Lockdown Critical so we had an impact not sure if its the right one. With the missions being applied to the correct system now maybe go back to mission running?

1) seeking luxuries only appear when the controlling faction of a system is experiencing a BOOM.
2) BOOMS do not change the prices directly, but they affect the supply/demand. Supply should increase by about 20% and demand decrease by 10%. If they were both already HIGH then it's possible the the BOOM didn't have any effect on the prices.

Thanks for the info, I'll go and compare supply and demand at both stations.

Last night we definitely got a "Civil Unrest" pending state for the Law Party at one point. Although right now all I see are "Civil Unrest Critical" and "Lockdown Critical" pending.

Interesting. With how short the Civil Wars happen, I hope we didn't trigger one and miss it, like they did in Lugh (3 times). This could be a worry with the cool-down effect. Though, I would think with our overwhelming Influence over Law party, we would win it, assuming it's all about Influence.

Me and my supporters of Crimson Dragons Project, we recently killed a lot of authorities (missions) and afcorse the quickest way to do it (if you are hostile)is to quickly leave the station, no fire zone, and approx. 15 km from the station reduce speed to zero and wait for 4-5 authority ships that chase you. (3 condors + 2 Vipers in Exphiay). Then quick kill condors first (no shield, paper ships) and then finish Vipers or fly away.
We did that a lot and i've just login and I see Lockdown statuses on both federation factions we are fighting against. Also some Outbreak critical pendings and Civil Unrest. That is the road to war. No doubt about it. ;)
My supporters told me that there was some checkpoints in the system after lockdown statuses, they told me they killed a lot of authorities there (Anacondas etc)

P.S
Also no influence change today, only new statuses.

Soda, keep in mind Dr. Zli said that he was able to cause a civil war with only trading. I thought the blockade would be fun though and everyone seemed interested. Hopefully it does cause the civil war though, I'm not sure what actually does and does not work.

GlyphGryph says it worked for him, twice. I wouldn't be surprised if both methods worked.

i only traded, people who pass through the system only trade. I think that I was the only idiot who hunted condas, all the other cmdrs I saw (and I did a surveilance to see who does what) went from sun to station and then out. People fly traders with occasional cobra, asp, python, conda.
civil war started because people traded perf enchancers to smugglers lol

Trading may be a problem for us, as we don't yet own a station. Zli mentioned it was trade with smugglers. Last I checked, we only had Seeking Luxuries guys in Mikunn, not in HR 73727. Maybe if we keep up the Boom, they'll appear. No reason not to do 2 fronts. Some people like to trade, others like to commit mass murder...

Yeah. I just wanted to make sure people didn't think this was 'for sure' the only way to civil war.
