Are there any conflict zones or any indications we went to war today? Possible we've been in war but we're being told we were in Boom for the last few days or weeks.

That doesn't make sense either, as we have seeking luxurious in Mikunn, which only happens during Boom. Unless...we're both in Boom and Civil war as a major faction in Mikunn, and only in Civil War in HR 7327. That would explain the lack of luxury seekers in HR 7327.

Do we still have luxury seeking in Mikunn?

Does anybody know if "minor faction" simply means minor faction in the system? As in, the Dukes of Mikunn are a minor faction in HR 7327, yet the major faction in Mikunn? Or do they mean minor faction, as not Federation, Empire, nor Alliance?

For my understanding after reading the DDA's I think it is your second guess. It states Faction – An organisation that adheres to a single set of laws and that has a relationship with other factions. Factions can control single systems (such as independent systems) or multiple systems (such as the Federation). I think all the system factions belonging to the Federation or Empire/Alliance are also minor factions.

But like everything from the DDA's we can't be sure...

Please excuse my poor english, I tried my best :)

For minor factions it's unlikely, but we have some other ideas that we want to explore which would have similar effects.

Michael

that would mean minor factions cannot expand into multi system entities ie a fourth or more power blocks ( perhaps the devs need to look at allowing minor factions to expand with enough support into more than 2-3 systems and to evolve into lets say minor major entities.

It looks like there's a problem with the reporting as The Dukes are already in civil war with The Law Party and it should finish tomorrow. We'll take a look.

Michael

Hi Michael. Would it be possible to explain the reporting error? We're currently seeing Boom for Dukes of Mikunn in Mikunn and HR 7327, and we have Seeking Luxuries in Mikunn (not in HR 7327). If it's merely the display bug, I would expect we shouldn't have Seeking Luxuries.

I also spotted Dukes in Mikunn and HR 7327 both are in Boom state, but have differing Pending States. Is that normal? Specifically, in HR 7327 pending is Boom & Expansion, while Mikunn also has Boom and Expansion, but also has Civil War Critical.

Thanks

Minor faction is the minor faction in the system. A minor faction can be present in more than one system.

The reporting error appears to be that you were in a civil war that ended quickly and are now in boom.

The boom applies to the specific location, not all the systems it is in.

So the invisible Civil War ended...
Do the Dukes now own a station?

Cooldown here we come... 26 days until the next civil war.

You might want to start working on your next expansion, then.

Could do with lending a hand from the start, I got to mikunn last night, I cant be far off alied, but just looking at the latest populated place and the distance too stations is off putting, I hope themanage to expand into a system with closer ports?
.
anyway hope to be back ingame tonight pushing the rep a bit further so I can prepare for the dukes expansion with pride

the two candidate systems for expansion there in mikunn are kwatee (commuist faction in charge) and sukra ( which is a federation system - that could be interesting)

Thanks for the clarifications. So if we weren't in Civil War yesterday, but in Civil War sometime in the past, am I correct in my guess it was around Jan 15th after the queue went through? If so, does that mean we're in the 25 day cool-down which should end around the 5th?

Thanks

Sorry to say so, but noone said you weren't in a civil war yesterday. That's why I asked about any switching stations.

That's a good point, but the reason I doubt we were in Civil War yesterday was we're back in Boom. There's a 3 week cool-down after a Boom before another Boom can occur. We've been in Boom since at least the 18th, and are still Booming now.

The Dukes are in boom and pending a civil war and recovering from expansion.

Michael

Sorry about the confusion. Yesterday I thought it sounded like we were in the middle of a Civil War that would end today, then this morning we had a Civil War, and now we're pending Civil War (which jives with the pending state in Mikunn, but not HR 7327).

So did we already have a Civil War before and are pending another one? I'm guessing on the 15th or so if we did have one already.

I'm surprised about being in expansion recovery. Unless there's been an expansion I don't know about, the last one was when Walt Kerman got the Dukes to expand into HR 7327 before Christmas. Has anybody noticed if the Dukes are in any other neighboring systems?

Again, thanks!

So I guess since a minor faction can only be in one state, no matter how many systems it occupies, Dukes are currently in a Boom state, but the Boom itself only manifests in one specific system. In this case that system is Mikunn.

If you see this Michael, we're really like a clarification if we ever went to Civil War, and when. It would give us an idea about the cool-down period.
