Hello, Michael. I'd like to ask a question/contemplate a little along the lines of making influence system a little more "memorable".
I would like to ask if you reviewed possibility of players gaining minor faction bonuses/penalties. I am thinking along the lines of community goals structure. For instance, a player gains permanent perks, like a 10% discount for purchases on commodities market, after having made significant enough impact on bringing certain minor faction to power within a system. The bonus get revoked if the faction loses their standing, of course. Other possible bonuses: irrevocable award/medal for aiding in revolution, one can admire it in the personal award window, like in E2: Frontier. Thereby a link between a player and a minor action might be created, the player gets regular invitations for "special offers" on certain goods or military orders (personalized news) if another civil war follows and minor faction in question is in danger of losing their standing within a system. Finally, player might get a 10% mark up on all bounties he cashes in favor of minor faction he is linked with, so that he is encouraged to keep "his" system secure.
I feel a little disconnected and uninspired to help any particular faction, where as if we (me and the faction) could have special relationship, I would certainly feel more compelled to become their guardian angel.
Of course, if you help one faction, and demote the other, the demoted faction will show the reverse version of all bonuses I described above.
Would it be correct on my part to expect the system evolve in this, or similar direction?
Thanks for reading.
Perks for reputation are something on our to do list - it's not a soon item though.

I know the fact that Michael is commenting here makes it tempting to go off topic and make suggestions for things everyone wants in the game; however there are other parts of the forum where Michael answers these types of questions. Otherwise we run the risk of derailing the thread, which is primarily about the background simulator and its bugs, rather than a suggestion thread.
Hi Mr. Brookes,
Not sure if you saw the addition to my post above, as I edited it just a few minutes ago. I noticed the Law Party minor faction has Civil War Pending now, but none of the other minor factions do. Should that be a concern? Sounds similar to the situation with the Dukes being Civil War Critical Pending, while no other faction was (Law Party being Civil War Pending, but not Critical).
Here's a sheet showing the various states of the 3 main factions in HR 7327

I see them recovering from a civil war.

Wait, so only the Dukes cooldown was reset and not the other factions it could possibly go to civil war with? Maybe, I'm misunderstanding something here.
Michael a completely different experiment by some players had a result which I wonder if you can comment on. In a system with two stations one controlled by the controlling faction one by the faction the players are supporting. An Imperial faction expanded into this system and went into a civil war with the controlling faction . The Imperial faction insta won the civil war (no conflict zones) and took control of the station flipping the system. At first I thought this was a bug since I believed that minor stations had to be taken first. Rereading your comments on the subject I realized you said minor stations controlled by the faction (controlling faction?) had to be taken first. So actually minor stations not run by the controlling faction don't need to be taken before attempting civil war for the system flipping station. ?
Obviously this applies to us in Mikunn since we would not need to take Gabriel before going for control of the system.
Thanks for taking the time to answer everyones questions btw![]()
As soon as a civil war is concluded, the most valuable space station is transferred from the loser to the winner, so I'd expect the system's major faction to change hands if the invaders won the fight.

Servers are down at the moment but before that I did see civil war under pending for Law.Any idea who they went to Civil War against, if it wasn't the Dukes? Secondly, if they're in a Civil War Cool Down, does that mean they can't be "attacked" in Civil War by the Influence gaining faction?
Can anyone double check that Law Party has Civil War pending? Note: I didn't update that on the chart I posted.
