Need stable AIP for telemetry data - used for 2-6 dof motion platforms

People have been asking for ages. It's pretty clear that they don't care for this, and that it would most probably never happen. Especially for D-box users.

Bump

Download Sim Racing Studio App

  1. Nothing to do just start the game (SRS App v40 and above required)
  2. Might not work all the time (see notes below)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1. ED does not officially support telemetry, that said, every time the developer update the game, it might break and take from 1 - 7 days to get back to work.
  2. If we are able to fix it, it will automatically download next time you open the app
  3. But It might stop working forever. We can't guarantee
  4. We strongly encourage you to ask for API telemetry support in this forum: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...ata-used-for-2-6-dof-motion-platforms.400404/

I can't believe Elite doesn't already have this fully up and running.

Btw, would be grateful for links to the docs for whatever (limited) output it does give at present.

Edit: subsequent googling has led me to the conclusion that there simply is no output at present - the rigs that people are using are having to directly read values from the game executable's memory, with all the convenience and stability that this implies

Please Frontier, would be great if you added a native motion platform/telemetry api
just got into motion simulators myself recently and any support here would be appreciated to make it easier for us

Thanks
Cheers

Bump! Frontier Devs, please listen to your customers, the information requested must already be generated by the game, surely wouldn’t take too much effort to support motion telemetry 😘
Also, Next Level Racing is more than happy to work with developers to get drivers built for their platforms...just FYI. I'm sure other platform vendors are as well.

I very much support a basic motion plug-in API. This game would be amazing if my motion platform reacted to in game motions, like collisions, gettting shot, getting pulled out of hyperdrive, etc.
