General Nerf Frame Shift Drive Interdictor

You've only gotta survive about 30 seconds, 45 or so if you get hit by an FSD disruptor missile.

That's much easier to accomplish than people think. Keep in mind that more optional slots have been added to all ships since the git gud guide came out. You can even put a little extra armor on a T7 these days and be even better off.

326mj with four pips to SYS goes quite a long way. There's enough armor, and even a module reinforcement to make sure you get home.

To go even further, pop a heat sink while you're flailing about to break lock.

It's even easier by selling it and getting a Python.

Amazing Rinzler troll guide. It really convinced people to engineer their T7. Lol.

The whole interdiction game mechanic is and unrealistic. A stupid time waster and I wish they'd do away with it entirely.
Attacker should wait until the ship drops to normal space on it's own. JMHO.

I must not rise to this, I must not.

And my CG T7 is/was ridiculously engineered, ever since that combat drop on Stroggos in the 90s, I have loved flying things with tin foil armour and the maneuverability of a breeze block into war zones.

So there would be no attacks whatsoever outside cz and nav beacons? What would Law enforcement, pirates etc do?

It's attempted irony. Plenty of traders in open are already dropping to normal space before any interdiction anyway so they can reenter the instance they choose if they're tailed. Plenty of gankers can ram at stations. Plenty of roleplayers can agree to have decent fights and try their luck with instancing.

Meanwhile 2019 passed and interdictors have been rendered totally useless for PvE with mission USSs. You would also have the hardest time to find one interdictor module in the starter systems.

But hey, obviously, the ENTIRE system is not broken, so the leet minigame isnt amirite...

at least you can find the point in that rambling
He doesn't like the interdiction minigame because reasons. No idea what those reasons are (as far as I can tell he doesn't say), but they must seem like very good ones to him if he isn't willing to change his mind.

Also, he has an uncanny ability to claim something as being true, acknowledge that he was wrong when he is proven wrong, and then go back to making his original claim. INGSOC would be proud.

Ok first you guys should decide on how long your imaginary engineered T7 should last after submitting.

I heard 15 secs. Then 30, then 45 if the other has groms.

Just work harder in corriolis to agree on a convincing time to kill, then maybe we can take your collective advice seriously while you ramble about neutering a sandbox game like it was an extension of your imaginary sex life.

You must be fun at parties

Just talk about how FDev neuters your gameplay at parties. I'm sure you'll get loads of girls.

Serious tho. Time to kill of a T7 against damage output of your average grandfathered PAs FDL? Go. Open Corriolis and make your point.
I don’t think I will. I never said anything about T7. I just said interdiction was fine, which it is.

Cant wait for your feedback if public beta starts again so development goes back on rails...

FDev : Is interdiction working?
You : Yes, as a whole, the ENTIRE system is working.
FDev : Ok. You sure? We've been told it's better to bypass the game altogether and that's been the meta for five years.
You : Nope. Working as intended. Nothing to see here.
FDev : Ok. So no patch?
You : Yup. Keep up the good work.

Quality.

And Stations and REZ sites and planets and POIs and signal sources and etc and etc.
Pirates can get a job and law enforcement can get a real job.

Interdictions should not be nerfed at all.

In my opinion there should be a counter to it introduced though, even if all that was is dumping a load of power into the FSD weakening the lock or stabalsing the blue circle at the expense of massive amounts of heat with the risk of a complete system shutdown on drop down to normal space if you fail. Something maybe akin to what happens when you get interdicted by thargoids, except with a bit more smoke, sparks & fire. But win & the pirate drops to normal space as per usual but also requiring a trip to a station to repair

Just practice what you preach and go do a CG in an unengineered T7 during primetime, then come back here to tell us how Grom is fun to deal with.
I tried a T7 once. Hated it. Now flying a fully engineered anaconda. So I no longer have to follow Rinzler's advice. But noobs don't have fully engineered anacondas, so they will have to follow Rinzler's advice if they want to survive. Tho that vid you posted before was good too. Noobs should watch both videos. But noobs should also avoid the T7, it's a horrible ship.
