Wanting to do a 'mission of mercy' that involves mining a few 100t's of tritium to help refuel a 'stuck' FC is not putting me in a 'Happy Place' with the amount I'm not finding in a hotspot - poo happens, fixiing it would be great

Frontier need to avoid material consequences for the series of errors released to the user base recently, and step up - to correct what is clearly a recurring problem that long term users are getting tired of. The big release next year is going to have stunted commercial success due to existing players (who are most likely to purchase) having lost faith, or jumped ship (!) to a competitor game. For example, pilots (PvP fans) are going to have Star Wars, whilst explorers and miners will eventually have an alternative. Any illusion of invincibility in the games market is just that, an illusion. It makes no commercial sense to damage your own reputation in favour of short-termism, if indeed that is what is happening. Reputation loss equates to lost sales and harsher financial landscapes, as it does in any other industry.
Hey sorry for the delay in coming back on this one, took me a while to ask the right people as this was before my time here.
The Cobra MK IV was an excluve reward to PC and XBOX players that upgraded to Horizons within a year (I believe) and will not be coming to PS4.
I know this is not the answer you hoped for, I am sorry about that but I would rather tell you how it is rather than give you any false hope.

Well, that's that I guess. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but there it is.
Don't worry PS4 players, the Cobra MkIV isn't a very good ship anyway.

As a PC player, who has cobra Mk.IV access, it's no skin off my nose if PS4 get it or not, however I do think its a bit sucky for the PS4 players who through no fault of their own had no means of buying in to the game during the period that had the Cobra Mk.IV incentive. Personally, I'd have no problem with an exemption being made for the earliest adopting PS4 players, this could be the first 10,000 to order the game on PS4, or players who bought the game in the first month, or maybe more appropriately, make it avaiable to those on PS4 who preordered the game, assuming it was available for preorder? Maybe Santa could bring PS4 early adopters a Cobra Mk.IV shaped Christmas present?
Any answer, even a "wrong" answer, is better than NO answer (or worst, false hope), so thank you!
In all seriousness, as an Xbox player who upgraded to Horizons immediately and got access to the Cobra MkIV... I don't understand why a similar incentive couldn't have been run for PS4 players who, say, bought it within its first year.
I mean, there's no crossplay, so PS4 players having the MkIV doesn't affect any other platform. And, come on, the ship isn't all that great either, no one gets an advantage of any kind by having the ship...

I hope the team remember that solo players not just expeditions need this idiotic release rolled back.
There is a reason, even if you don't like it. Frontier would have to break a promise to make it available again. I'd like to think Frontier still value their word.

This is where we differ, I don't think offering it to PS4 players would break any promise. The exclusivity was for players who bought Horizons within its first year. Giving that to PS4 players who bought within that version's first year, is still in-keeping with that exclusivity, as far as I'm concerned.
As I mentioned, there's no cross platform play. It harms no one to let the PS4 players have it under similar conditions as the PC and Xbox players.
If ALL PS4 players had it, then sure, that would be problematic.
Can I ask @Arthur Tolmie when you (or whoever) drops the announcement today, they start a new thread, I really don't want to have to back trawl through pages of this thread to get to the bones of what was said. Thanks.

I Think the big problem is the long term selling situation on stations, in game it should be like in real life world, the market regulate the prize.
When some stuff is missing the prize will be good and when many players delivered and selled their stuff there, the prize should sink.
Then there is not the problem that the most player if new or old in game only go LTD mining.
Better increase the selling prize from normal mining stuff like coltan, gold, silver and other regular materials and lower the prize für LTD´s or Panit like 1.4 or 1.7 Millions, then the player are not all on the same hotspot.
I found 1 day before the patch a system with LTD double hotspot, i got there nothing, but on the main hotspots where everyone goes mining i get much of them, that is not normal, better increase the other spots, the people will go seek for own hotspots and the massively concentration from players on the same big one will be gone.
And the tritium hotspots, please reactivate them ....
