You have access to the Alpha right now if you install it.I only have one real question, as a LEP owner, does this mean I will get odyssey as part of the elite dangerous lifetime expansion pack deal?

Yes give it a go, but you'll be disappointed.I only have one real question, as a LEP owner, does this mean I will get odyssey as part of the elite dangerous lifetime expansion pack deal?
Spent another hour wandering around the settlement aimlessley (having to stop every few seconds to be repeatedly scanned by every singly NPC I encountered) before finally working out that there was a pushpin on my compass (anlthough nothing whatsoever on the scanner). Finally found my target and she one-shotted me.
Already dId thanks some issues I see but nothing unexpectedYou have access to the Alpha right now if you install it.
Why would I be dissapointed @Deepbelow ? Only minor irritations so far - getting to a LZ for a mission and ship gets blown up on a zero threat support mission. Not being able to jump inside the space station (over the railing)
indeed I am looking forward to how this ends up in the main game too that to me is the real dealDark high contrast graphics everywhere except station interiors, changing settings does nothing. No ability to walk around the inside of your ships, Devs have already stated this.Repetitive boring missions.Bad voice Acting especially Apex drivers. Can't buy a drink at the bar, or sit down and chillax.Cheap First Person Shooter grafted onto a beautiful Space Sim.
That said I am looking forward to Phase three, lets hope things get better.
NO, The Real Deal is how much of my REAL Time is wasted, while trying to play this Game.indeed I am looking forward to how this ends up in the main game too that to me is the real deal
That’s why the LEP existsI only have one real question, as a LEP owner, does this mean I will get odyssey as part of the elite dangerous lifetime expansion pack deal?
Yep this. I can't count the number of times where no one seemed to be agro, the ship landed and we both got blown to smithereens whilst taking off.Gotta admit I am mightily frustrated having spent hours failing missions to finally succeed in gaining the objective (collect documents) just to be destroyed in the Apex shuttle while taking off to return to the mission giver. It seems base security weren't impressed with me breaking into their facility and the patrol ship blew me and the poor Apex pilot to smithereens as we took off. so frustrating but really fun and enthralling while figuring out how to achieve my goals.
I'm tempted to remind people at this point that in alpha we're not playing the game per se - we're testing certain game loops at each phase to provide feedback to FDEV ahead of them finalising the final release (in late May?).NO, The Real Deal is how much of my REAL Time is wasted, while trying to play this Game.
Most of what I see is Just more Time Sink, while doing nothing,
OR Lack of common sense, added Bottlenecks (another form of grind), for no reason.
EXAMPLE: Not being able to jump inside the space station (over the railing)
Question: For a game with no end, What difference does it make to you, How fast I progress ?
Maybe time for a Offline Version of the Game, as promised at the beginning.
time wasted sure any time spent in testing the alpha is for the person doing the play testing wasted time as such because I imagine our players will be reset if not at each phase at the end when they bring the main game characters over... Wasted time for the devs - I think not, it's definitely not a waste of time for them to get feedback on the various aspects of the alpha as they implement each phase...NO, The Real Deal is how much of my REAL Time is wasted, while trying to play this Game.

b) It seemed to be a skimmer that was chasing us, almost into orbit.
Its odd as I thought I'd turned off everything. Saying that I did have another mission where on lift off, we were chased by another ship, lucky for us we jumped at 26% hull.Likely to have been the base turrets.
You can - I have seen - disable individual turrets by cutting panel and disabling guns individually. Or you can go the whole way and turn the whole defence grid off in security/command or the power building (depending which base).
Let's wait until everything is unlocked before make any final claims. The time sink will be optional when it's released because you will have your own ship, so as it stands right now, it not an issue. Jumping in the station is not really an issue and could be added later. Jumping a railing is going to save how much time? Everything (for now) is on the upper level anyway. Again, let's just wait and see if anyone's predictions come true.NO, The Real Deal is how much of my REAL Time is wasted, while trying to play this Game.

# is technically called an Octothorp. Part of touch tone telephone pads for decades also accepted as 'number sign' almost equally universally. So #1 #2 #2 etc.IS IT REALLY??? THANK YOU FOR POINTING OUT HOW STUPID I MAY OR MAY NOT BE!!!
See, there's always someone who can shout louder.
I don't know what # items means. To me, a hashtag is an HTML bookmark that lets you link to a specific point in a page. Whatever it means on TwitFace or whatever is something I've never been able to fathom (not being a user of those platforms).
I'll take on board what you say about performance, but be aware that I've been around since the beginning and believe me, they'll forge ahead with whatever release date they have in mind whether it's ready and not.
