Official Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous reveal!

Right now, my mother and I have just finished the first four episodes together, and planning on seeing the rest this weekend.

This is, by far, darker than the previous two seasons, mostly because of this "E750 Project", otherwise known fully as the
"Scorpius rex". It's revealed to be the very first dinosaur hybrid. So, it is indeed a hybrid, but it is also the first one chronologically before the Indominus rex, because the Scorpius was a failure due to being extremely aggressive, and Masrani thought it was too ugly to put on display. So the thing was kept top secret away from the public, keeping everyone else in the dark about its existence. It was kept in cryostasis by Wu for something else too apparently.[/I]]
Isla Nublar has other things than what was previously known prior to this season, besides E750. Such as Kenji's father's rich and fancy penthouse, and two new dino species. Monolophosaurus and Ouranosaurus.

These two dinos play a certain role in that, including the compies, the island's ecosystem is out of balance. The Monos would keep to themselves, but a whole group of them were shown to relentlessly seek and chase after the kids in the penthouse. The Ouranos are dinos that aren't usually aggressive and wouldn't care about a dock, but there they were and behaving as such. And the compies, while known at the kids' camp site, have abandoned the place, making it "compy free". This is something that isn't explained why yet, but I am excited to see what happens next.

If that wasn't enough, Mantah Corp is also apparently doing a role involving this E750. The people who Sammy wants to save her family from.

Fun fact: According to the show's producer Scott Kreamer in the 50+ minute interview video I shared months ago, Mantah Corp was chosen over BioSyn (which was considered to be in the show at one point) because they weren't sure about introducing the latter very early before Dominion, which was still in script writing at the time. And he said it was also their opportunity to show that it isn't just InGen and BioSyn rivaling each other, but also others out there.

I hope Spinosaurus appears again.
Well, one thing that I have found out without spoiling myself about what is in the show (not what isn't) is that the Spinosaurus, even as "overhoped" (if that is even a real term) as how Swrve made it constantly, there isn't a single one in Season 3.

I'm still hoping for some sort of expanded lego game that takes the original lego jurassic world and adds Fallen Kingdom and Dominion with some possible Camp Cretaceous DLC.

But yeah that E750 was a freak. Kind of reminded me of a derpified indoraptor on crack.

E750 looks like it gets its inspiration from the mystical Monster of Mexico and Puerto Rico El Chupacabra. I mean it's got the kangaroo like legs and the quills on its back the skinny arms I mean who wouldn't compare it to that mythical monster the goat sucker.

Tonight, my mother and I have finished watching the remaining 6 episodes.

First thing I want to ask: Does anyone here remember when internet users complained that the show was going to be "kiddie" because its a fully animated show with stylized designs and made for a wider audience, particularly family people, before Season One aired? Well... ho-lly-cow... episodes 5 and 6 are like a slap in the face to those claims, which I won't spoil for those who haven't seen it yet.

The Scorpius rex (make that two of them as it made another one after it got out) is a venomous creature with poisonous quills. A trait said to be akin to the scorpionfish (a fish family that includes the lionfish), as well as this thing being named after. And it was these creatures to be the ones responsible for the unusual behavior of the local dinosaurs. The reason why the island's balance was falling.

Not only that. Throughout the whole season, so many shocking moments have been made. They not only returned to the original Jurassic Park Visitor Center, Yaz in episode 4, which I forgot to mention before, referenced a major thing towards the end of the original Novel everything this franchise is based on! HOLLY COW, I DID NOT EXPECT TO HEAR THAT THING BEING REFERENCED IN THE SHOW AT ALL!!! It was the least expected thing I would ever think about!

Still regarding the Visitor Center, they even referenced a major scene from Jurassic Park, which was the kitchen scene in the very same kitchen! At the same time, the kids ultimately destroyed the Visitor Center, the most iconic building of Jurassic Park since 1993, to successfully kill off the Scorpius rexes for the greater good.

Also, this show also contains the beginning of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as the moment where an unlucky guy escapes the rex but dies by the Mosasaurus!

Finally, it explicitly explains as to why Dr. Wu just didn't want to go after the Scorpius rex in the first place if he wanted something like the Indoraptor in the end. The Scorpius rex is a failed result because it was too unstable (as well as being too ugly by Masrani to show). So, he just wanted to find and collect his research and samples of the Indominus rex, the successful hybrid, so he can start anew and perfect it this time. Which would ultimately become the Indoraptor prototype.

And while it seems happy (for the most part) in the end as they were finally leaving the island it seems, they may not be "out of the woods" just yet...

Oh snap, you're right! The thing totally looks like a giant chupacabra. Aren't chupacabra's suppose to have red eyes too? Pretty sure E750 had red eyes...

Yeah, I love that they did that... totally didn't expect that, but still awesome...

HMMMMMMMMMMM
Gabeluna asked me if it was possible to split the thread into two threads. This was before we said we didn't have anything to announce about Camp Cretaceous content. Since thread splitting isn't possible, I offered to move it to the Jurassic World Evolution 2 Dinosaur subforum, as it would be the most active after the announcement. That's all :)
