Planet Coaster 2: Speculation and Rumors

I would like to see rides like the Big Wheel and Radius behave like their Park Beyond counterparts, continuously moving so guests can get on the cabins at the bottom. As for rides like Kick-Flip and Zozo. once they finish their cycle(s), they stop at the next cabin so the guests can get on and get off.

Regarding continous movements. I wonder if they touched on how stations work at all. Rudi said he saw a new single rider line that could be directly connected to the station, but I wonder if they changed anything about the station layout,if there will be new types maybe round turntable ones for river rapids or conveyor belt stations for coasters etc.

I'm sure they'll address many complaints from the original! I love the idea of a single rider queue (mostly because they've recently got me on Voltron Nevera and Hyperia within 30 minutes) :D

I don't think so sadly. Rudi said there were 5 themes: planet coaster, vikings, mythical, sunny resort and aquatic. The website seems to confirm this. They might return in a dlc tho.
So all ‘underwater’ themes… hmm, a bit disappointing ngl. The waterparks should be an option, we shouldn’t be FORCED to build a solely ‘water’ themed park.
Really hope we get a LOT more themes in expansions. Spooky/Horror, Adventure, Steampunk, Cyberpunk etc

Hi, I'm new to the forum, although I've been reading you for many years. With the announcement of PC2 I decided to register. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. I've been wanting to create a water park for years, I'm really excited!!

I have a question though... will this new game include all the flats from PC1 (including the DLC ones)? Or will it only include a few? I really liked some of the Classic and Magnificent rides!!

(Sorry for my english)

I believe it's been said that all of the flats from PC1 will be in PC2 :)

They were able to release a lot of dlcs with new rides for PC1 but they never did...
Just think what rides are in the park next to you or are basic to parks in general which weren't in PC!

Now, they have a second chance to implement them.

I wonder what they are planning for DLC then. Since a lot of flat rides and transport rides were DLC in planco1
Really hoping for a proper Top Scan if we’re talking new flat rides!!! That was my number one missing ride from Planco 1. Also would love a Sky Swat, but would understand if we didn’t get one considering their rocky reliability.
Also hoping a lot of the flat rides are less themed. A generic, unthemed Disko and Enterprise would be perfect, as well as making the flat rides rides look less ‘carnival’ by removing the flashing lights from all of them, such as the Hammer Swing and Double Arm Pendulum.

What I hope for is that they don't focus too much on the waterparks. They seem very well implemented and have me excited, but I think with Planet Coaster still being the name of the game, the coasters, flat rides and transport/dark rides should be solid too. What I've heard from content creators who saw the preview demo it seems they put at least a lot of thought into coasters and flats looking more generic and being able to be fully customised with scenery and coasters seem to be much smoother.

Speaking of coming back, I'd love it if the basic themes of PC1 were also available from the start in PC2. I mean themes like pirates, futuristic or fantasy are the foundation of any theme parks. I think it would be a big miss if we had to limit ourselves to just the 5 themes announced for the launch...

I imagine we’ll get a couple of them for DLC. Sci Fi, Adventure, Spooky especially are almost guaranteed as STAPLES of theme parks.
I imagine that Pirates (or some variation of that) will be a part of the base game. Since the game has an entire on water, I’d be really annoyed if any DLC just expanded on it instead of bringing something new.

I posted this in the PC2 Announcement thread and thought I would share my thoughts and suggestions over here as'well.
I really do hope to see not just weather, but temperature and seasons. I truly hope that they will affect guests and rides. For example if it's hot guests will want to ride water rides or want to go to the water park. If it's cold it'll be the opposite "during cold/snowing/winter season". During thunder/lightning storms all rides will be closed until the storm passes both theme parks and waterparks for people's safety.

I also want to see Jacuzzis, Water Jungle Gyms/Playgrounds, Whirl pools, Splash Pads, showers, lockers, and Tiki Bars in pools to make it into the game.

Another suggestion is instead of park operators opperating the water slides it'll be life guards like in real life.

I would love to see the life guards having the option to use these flotation devices as'well.

Would be nice to see blueprints include path systems. It was always annoying downloading a great blueprint from the workshop, and then have to figure out the entrance and exit pathing layout. Something minor but would be nice to have.

That was frustrating, sometimes a path would show an obstruction when trying to place it. I'm glad that PC2 is finally real but there is just vague information about it right now and only a handful of screenshots and the trailer. It's like it was secretly in development for the past year or more and just revealed Thursday morning. There is also Aquapark Tycoon coming out in 2025, it looks good as well but it looks like it's just a water park sim, with no regular amusement park rides like roller coasters, ferris wheels, carousels, etc. It's not by Frontier.
