i've got to the anaconda a couple of times but he knocks me out almost instantly.
- only deploy hardpoints when ready to shoot and retract them after every kill
- turn off the shield generator in systems configuration (you obviously don't need it)
- do NOT go out of silentmode untill the mission is finished
if you want and have the patience, you can
- sit still
- go to silent mode as soon as scenario begins
- turn off shields and engine power in system configuration
let the heat slowly drop to zero. then turn energy power back on.this will give you a good start without using a heatsink.
Excellent decision
There is some merit in eventually turning the single player combat training scenarios into a free demo of the game btw.
If you find this file is missing when trying to launch the game initially there is a fix. This is not Alpha/Beta issue but a DirectX issue. It's a DirectX dll file and running the "DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer" from Microsoft solves the issue.
Done it, started mission 10 with 100% hull
Was always too close when he first jumps in, with little hull left so didn't last long.
This time i got out of the way quick and then stalked him, finished on 100% hull as well
Congratulation cmdr.
For me, the Cobra reduce my hull to 50% almost every time
He fly away and when he come back he shoot me down...
I try to boost my engine but no success at all :.(
I definitively can reach wave 8
His name is DeJay...Seriously? 'pay-to-win'? Seriously?

lol thank you for that, I though that when I rigged for silent running it automatically switched my stuff off and that gaining heat that fast was normal.
Now I can complete it both ways sneaky and all guns blazing, cheers
They have said that the universe will be reset when the game launches so noone will have a head start on anyone else, so i really can't see any Pay to Win.
Really? When was that? Last I had heard, they were NOT planning on wiping before launch if they could avoid it, as a thank-you to the backers.
Of course, that might have changed, but...
Alpha 4 - reset
Beta - numerous resets when needed.
Beta-to-Gamma - reset
Gamma-to-release - no reset unless they discover a breaking exploit.
Yeah, that's more or less what I was thinking of when I wrote that post.
