Unknown. We ll know it Tuesday.

There we go, I was pretty sure I didn't imagined it 😁

And I hope FDEV take at least a little of our feedback onboard, drop the 16250 ARX unlock, only release the 33k ARX prebuilt and the basic version gets sold on all starports immediately instead of in August.
Please explain how you can generate sufficient FOMO with this approach. It is about money, and their current plan fits that perfectly. Why should they go sub-optimal?

Is there a better option to remove accumulated ARXs from old players ?

Hi All :)

Yeah, it will be in an interesting format how Frontier advertise the Python MK2 on Tuesday, I presume they'll place it in the actual Store?
Under 'Early Access' ?
If it's a 'basic version MK 2' I wonder whether you'll be able to exchange ARX for some of the present available ship paintjobs. (as are available at the moment for the standard Python (MK 1)....will they be interchangeable I wonder?

Jack :)

Well, you can delete all the ARX not generated by money transactions. Cap it at zero. Paying customers can't object, because their transactions are still valid, even if the account drops to zero due to all of the ARXmas and weekly incomes. Or you create a new currency, e.g. Eliteros. ARX remain in your account, but you can't buy anything with it anymore. Many such things are possible if you are on the dark side.

Essentially now you can separate the 2 things bought in the store, cosmetics and ships. I don't understand why to increase the number of arcs on cosmetics, why not just make game items more arcs ?
My opinion, newbies and those who are not interested in cosmetics will still buy a ship if they are interested.
Newbies won't buy cosmetics, they don't need it yet.

Well as apart from the interior of the cockpit almost nothing looks the same as the mark 1 I don’t think a single paint job or ship kit will be compatible, engine and weapon colours along with decals and name plates will work as they work on any ship.

Hi :)

Looking forward to it! I was wondering - being an old skool player - whether there is ever going to be a Boa in Odyssey? It’s was just a random thought..
Ah!, random thoughts, I have plenty of those about the game. :D
Boa, Puma, Tiger Trader, Moray Starboat and of course the ship that shall not be named. :sneaky:
Well, you know as much as I do. Whether any of these ships (plus a few others) ever make it into the game remains to be seen. A re-hash of present ships seems to be the flavour at present, I'm not saying this isn't welcome, far from it, but I'd personally like to see some of those former ships like the Boa entering the Elite Galaxy, especially if they had some unique roles in the game.

Jack :)

I've been here since shortly after the games release, and I will be spending my
money here if it means I can play Elite a few more years.
Everyone seems to be complaining about Play to wIn, I do not agree.
If you think about it, just buying a Python with in-game credits and adding
the cosmetics like the paintjob and kits, it's not that much more in Arx.
I hate the grind for engineering and such, so anything that cuts it down even a little,
I am 100% for. The only thing that I do disagree with is the no insurance needed to
get your ship back.
These same people that are making negative comments, will be kicking themselves
that they didn't buy it 3 months ago when it becomes available to all.
