Roccat Power Grid

Months ago when I first found ROCCAT Power Grid, I downloaded it, installed it and ran it with no issues, I took some time away from ED and now, ready to conquer space once again I cannot get Power Grid to work. First it wouldn't connect, so I scanned and typed in the address listed in the settings pressed connect and the App crashed. I tried again just to make sure but it crashed again. SO today I installed it on my phone, originally it was only on my tablet, and same thing. It shows my PC address for a moment then tells me to use scan to find nearby computers. Any one have any suggestions.

Windows 10
LG G-5 phone
Samsung SM-T807V
Current version of Power Grid: v).461

I just tried it again yesterday for the first time in months. Works fine for me, it's more of a case of trying to find the best grid and configuring it.

Anything in your firewall logs showing if it blocked the application?

Sounds like I had exactly the same problem. Turned out it was my firewall. When I turned the AVG file wall off briefly it would connect so I when I turned it on again it could not find the connection. I ended up turning off my AVG firewall and using the Windows firewall instead. Now it seems to work okay. Good luck.

Hi Cmdrs, I downloaded the power grid to my WIN 7 ultimate x 64 a couple of days ago, downloaded the app to my iPad , then I'm stumped , I downloaded some grids from the website to my pc, but for the life of me I cannot find out how to migrate them to my iPad, I'm assuming I drop the grid file somewhere on my pc.

Can anyone help me here or point me to a decent tutorial?

Thanks o7

At the top center of Power Grid on your PC it has an "editor" button. Try uploading the file(s) you got into one of the file bars there with a folder next to it.

This should import it to Power Grid, save it. From there restart the app on your tablet, if it doesn't show up. Then boom, you're good to go.

I just got the software last night and it made my old crap tablet useable again. You will possibly need to program the buttons in the controls, in-game. I had to do this on some of mine, from the one I got.

Hey bud,

I just got the software last night myself and was having this issue. I don't know what specifically fixed it but I can tell you the things I tried.

Turn the "service activated" off and then back on, on the PC - next to the IP it wants you to use. Also, I read that it takes a while for the PC to show up, when you scan for it. So give it a while to become available. I've only used it once, so I don't know if this is a repeated thing or just initially. You'll know that your PC is discovered when it shows up in the box and not the short-lived IP address you typed in previously. It will even have your PC name.

Then presto, hit connect and you're in. I've been reading that it should automatically see the computer after a short while, once you've done the initial IP address enter. Just set it down and wait. Find some templates, etc.

Here's Mine

As You can see below, there is still room for
a few more commands.

Hey guys, I'm a little stumped on this. I am able to connect to Roccat with my Windows tablet but when I go to add new device in the settings, and hit start scan on my iPad 2, my iPad isn't finding my PC. I've also manually entered in the ip address on the ipad app and it still won't connect.

Sup guise, got a pointer here from a thread i started

Currently working on a landscape grid. If anyone is interested.

Heres a preview. Gonna upload it as soon as its done. Started working on it this evening!

I have this - I use it on my iPhone and it's not bad.
Half the time I forget about it, but it does come in handy when I have to deliver some biowaste of my own but want to keep talking to someone via voice comms.

POwergrid is no more?

No longer available on the app store, it seems.
edit. ok, it's iPhone only... and does not work in ios11... boo!

I tried downloading it yesterday to check it out. It's not available for iOS 11. Did some googling, and apparently the app hasn't been updated in quite a while. Seems a shame.
But it's free, so maybe they're foregoing that to work on more lucrative things.
