I died twice and both times were because of my own stupidty. The first time was in a brand new Viper, which I bought after I had a fully kitted Cobra, because I wanted to try it out as a pure fighter-ship. So the first time I undocked, I retracted my landing gear, put full pips in engines and tried to fly out at full throttle, like I used to do with my Cobra. Well, I should have calculated, that t Viper handles a little diffrently. I crashed in to the station wall a few meters above the slot.
The second time was only yesterday, when I was really tired and I just wanted to dock and go to bed and I already had taken off my headphones, which was part of my mistake. I approached the station as usual went through the slot and was looking for my docking bay. By the time I realized that there was no docking bay assigned to me, because I forgot to request docking, it was already too late: The "leave station now" timer was at 0:04 and about six seconds later I was space dust. Had I worn my headphones, I'd have heard the warning immediately and could have reacted. But meh.. these things happen.
The funny thing is, that I always manage to escape combat barely alive, but stations kill me. Shortly before the Viper incident, I was fighting 3 wanted ASPs with my Cobra, and they even managed to almost take out my thrusters, before I dusted the last of them and I was at 7% hull, but I made it. And a few hours later I just fly into a wall.
