Yeah, the internet I think has been a huge factor in that. Not nessacarily a bad thing imo.Honestly, language is meaningless, to a degree. We're all gonna end up combining languages, pronunciations, words, slang, etc.
My favouritea are Australia, North America and South East Asia.Definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Favorites? Personally, I love Grasslands, Wetlands, and Southeast Asia the most.

When visited zoos in Germany, I was shocked they called rhinos "Nashorn", hippopotamuses "Flusspferd" (they translated the greek), Oryxes "Spießbock", and don't get me started on the "Nose Bear / Nasenbär" for Coatis. ^^English in general is a melting pot language that is really annoying because of its inconsistencies. Luckily, the different dialects in the US are that hard to understand (for me personally), probably because US English is relatively young. I wish it were closer to Latin; it would make taxonomy so much easier!

Has always happened but internet is definitely speeding it. All Latin languages came from Latin of the Roman Empire then turned into distinct dialects then separate languages like Spanish, Portuguese, French, Romanian, ItalianYeah, the internet I think has been a huge factor in that.
