Spring dlc Speculation 2023

You think proper underwater tunnels are possible and will be added?

My idea for them is that you set up a station on land where guests walk in. You then set up a section underwater where guests "teleport" inside (kinda like how restaurants work, in a way), and this tunnel is modular, allowing you to add 4×4 squares where guests can walk. The walls also are customizable, and you can do mesh, glass, netting, null or solid. You can also set up a 2nd entrance/exit.

Is this making sense?
seems way too complicated for most underwater tunnels , most underwater tunnels are a flat ground level section of an aquarium building meaning a teleport gate would remove any realism. Best bet is a new path that can be placed in water without errors

An underwater tunnel path option would be simpler imo

There I go, overcomplicating everything 🤣...
My inspiration came from the viewing dome from Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, but y'all are right, this is a simpler idea. My only question is how it'd work to prevent the water from "spilling" onto the path? Maybe a special walkthrough gate?

I'm not sure if I would like to be on an underwater tunnel made of mesh or netting 😜

I wouldn't either😅... But I mentioned it for if players use it for anything other than underwater, because Frontier tends to make features versatile...

True that, yeah
I would like to see a new walk through gate, we'll call it the "tunnel walkthrough gate", which can be added to any habitat barrier, same as a regular gate, and gives a base point to clip on the new "tunnel path".

"Tunnel path" would be an option, like path fencing or curbs, which allows you to click and voila a tunnel appearth.

And if added before water (because let's be fair, the path and water system is always going to be borked and have some annoying quirk like this) you can then add water over the path but need to remove the water the edit the path later.

One way I can see the path with a tunnel is like the crysta tunnel from Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, a game frontier did 19 years ago. Its a special path but I hope ingame you can edit it.

I think if frontier will want to add underwater tunnel it might will be the best in he walkthrough exhibits, if frontier will add like shark the best solution is to use the walkthrough exhibit because those animals they not like doing so much so if frontier would want to implement underwater tunnels i think really the walkthrough exhibit would be the best for it.
of course it will need different shapes and sizes and stuff like that (what I hope that will added to the regular exhibit!) but that's what I think would be the best if frontier even will want to do something with underwater tunnels.

just look at this pic I don't if I'm the only one but if frontier will added it, I think that's how it gonna look.
of course there are animals like penguins, otters, seals and more... that would be so cool to see them in underwater tunnels, but I feel the walkthrough exhibit It's the best solution for the game, It's the same as free flying for example I think the reasons why frontier implement flying to the exhibits It's because the fact that just think how the game would be laggy after that if you having a big zoo and then frontier wil added a free flying just think how your zoo would be even more laggy, so I think really the walkthrough exhibit It's the best solution for birds and if frontier will want to added animals like sharks, fishes, rays.

What if we get something totally unexpected? Like an exploration pack! Explore the canopy of the jungle with the playful howler monkey, go North on an expedition to find the mighty wolverine, cross the desert with the help of the beloved dromedary, surf the sky next to the great white pelican and head to the forest searching for the unique tuatara.

Come on Frontier, give us a small hint, we have no idea what's coming next :ROFLMAO:

That pack is basically cool beans smothered in steak sauce.

Like, wow, that will totally fill in a bunch of gaps

A pack that would be surprising (Frontier seems determined to surprise us) and which would also add a super interesting feature to the game would be a Herd Animal Pack.

It would be accompanied by a big update of animal behavior, which would act as a herd. This mechanic would add to the animals already present in the roster as well as to the 8 species that will be in the pack.

  • Musk Ox (Arctic)
  • Takin (China)
  • Markhor (India)
  • Saïga (Eurasia)
  • Blackbuck (India)
  • Addax (Africa)
  • Gerenuk (Africa)
  • Giant Eland (Africa)

I love ungulates but i wouldnt want a full pack of them, that would just be a bit monotamous. The only packs that could get away with that imo are monkeys cause we got 1/6 of a satisfying roster or flying birds cause we got none yet and they would introduce a completly new thing to design habitats around.
Ungulates would be the group most easily getting away with a third one, but for that it should be a bit more varied with things like small antelopes or deer

No arguments from me.
