Spring dlc Speculation 2023

A pack that would be surprising (Frontier seems determined to surprise us) and which would also add a super interesting feature to the game would be a Herd Animal Pack.

It would be accompanied by a big update of animal behavior, which would act as a herd. This mechanic would add to the animals already present in the roster as well as to the 8 species that will be in the pack.

  • Musk Ox (Arctic)
  • Takin (China)
  • Markhor (India)
  • Saïga (Eurasia)
  • Blackbuck (India)
  • Addax (Africa)
  • Gerenuk (Africa)
  • Giant Eland (Africa)
While I do think a pack of ungulates would be fun. I highly doubt it would happen. I would switch some of these out though so we could get more continental diversity. I'd replace the Addax for Greater Kudu(Both are awesome but the GK barely edges out Addax), Gerenuk for the Kirk's Dik-dik, and the Giant Eland for the Southern Pudu.

Imagine we all get super excited for an aviary/islands/deserts DLC, and then it turns out it's a pack of clones:
  1. Mexican wolf
  2. American black bear
  3. Nile crocodile
  4. Sumatran tiger
  5. Mexican beaded lizard (E)
Theme: Mad Scientist lab (clones, cloning... Huh? Huh?)
Gimme another bear and I don't care what else is in the pack, I buy it as soon as it's released.

É o steamdb, um site que contém atualizações de muitos jogos, geralmente sabemos que está chegando uma dlc para esse site procurando os depots
In the print I only see mention of the month of August, I can't understand it, I suppose the next dlc is between March and April because it is released in that month.

This Children's Zoo Pack thing grow on me
I can actually imagine that very well. Even if I think Islands are great too, I see it more as an animal pack.

Children's Zoo Pack
1. Bunnys (or the wild variant the Hare) - super cute and a new rig - Domestic

Hares are NOT the wild variant of rabbits (which are pictured here). They are two totally different species with totally different needs and totally different representation in a zoo. Hares are actually very rare in zoos and you would never ever see them in a petting zoo, as they get stressed out extremly quick and they're even hard to keep in zoos.
Sorry, but it bugs me that these two often gets confused, as it's harming both of them, especially regarding awareness of conservation.

That said, personally I see having domestic rabbits in a children section (meaning if they can be pet and touched) as animal cruelty. Same with guinea pigs. They don't belong in kids rooms and they don't belong anywhere were they are constantly touched and chased and whatnot.
And as a huge Pippi Longstocking fan I absoluiely cringe when squirrel monkeys are only associated with that, tbh. Though those days are loooong gone, but that and german tv series like "Unser Charlie"or international series like "Daktari" were never good for primates and in some cases encouraged illegal pet trades.

I'm not the biggest fan of a childrens zoo pack in general , or a farm pack for that matter, but if we get one, I'd really appreciate picks that do okay-ish in children zoos. Dwarf goats, Alpacas, domestic Sheeps might all be an option. If we take education into account, old farm animal breeds that are threatened by extinction would be even better, if we use them to explain why the current farm industry is a problem.

I'd endorse this pack! Also since Frontier has been focusing way more on color morphs over the last 2 cycles, I think it's more likely we'll get the ABB instead of the more popular Andean Bear
