Can confirm the continued existence of non-Control AXCZs, at least. I’d suspect they’ll be removed from Alerts as they’re completed, but they still exist for now at least. Can anyone confirm, no more Alert system AXCZ's?

That may mean (given their clarification) that the Invasion thing of CZs disappearing and signal sources stopping will occur in cleared Alerts and Controls as well.Patch notes said they would be removed at the weekly tick (from reclaimed systems, which are the alerts that have them).
That's exactly what it means - for the systems that have already been reclaimed, that should have had the CZs removed when they exited the thargoid controlled state. That may mean (given their clarification) that the Invasion thing of CZs disappearing and signal sources stopping will occur in cleared Alerts and Controls as well.
Did you run or did you kill it?Quick note - I've been interdicted by a Scythe outside of Thargoid space whilst carrying escape pods I collected in a Control system. Be alert when transferring samples or anything else war-relevant - I'm not sure where and why specifically they'll show up. (Also, are escape pods themselves of importance now? I'll probably test that.)
Killed it - I was in a 6-shard Anaconda. Their FSD reboot missiles will probably make it dififcult to run.Did you run or did you kill it?

I don't recall how far exactly, but it wasn't a long distance - I had parked my carrier near Maeslrom Thor at the time.Interesting, and thank you for the caution; given the video displayed some time prior to update 16 it may indeed be just the escape pods, but we will remain vigilant nonetheless if this is their attempt at stopping cargo-related means of winning. Our vessels fear no Scythes at least!
Do you recall the system? In particular, how far away from a Thargoid system this incident occurred?
too bad. I hope they fix it. Although... eff S&RNo. A secure trader doesn't remove the tag, it just gives a place to trade them.
If dropping pods to them to keep them off your back provides you with no moral quandaries, they apparently are quite effective bait.too bad. I hope they fix it. Although... eff S&R. I never turned the occupied escape pods I picked up in to the S&R contact anyway. I have like 15 or 20 stored on my carrier for... years at this point. And I swear at least five of them are the Bug Killer radio DJ
. At this point, I keep them as a trophy. Or for "further use". Scythe bait anyone?
Sampling in control systems seems unchanged, as well as killing scouts or interceptors.
I've run sme more tests in Hyades Sector AA-P b6-4 (21.82Ly)
Before my activity: 0.000000
Scythe kill: 0.001171
2 unoccupied pods, 6 occupied and 6 damaged sold/handed in to rescue ship: 0.002577
selling an occupied escape pod (Daruwach, 15,74 ly, populated) gives 0,0362% each --> 2.762 needed for 100% progress
I just had the experience of being "hatch broken" by a scythe, killed it before it picked up the pods but they're now all marked as stolen. So completely useless and can't be turned in at search and rescue.
