In more mission-critical weeks back in Oya where the far higher grav deterred some spire pilots, after the XSF test data a handful of more dedicated/sick of Orthrus pilots had been focusing down ~1 wing per PG banshee efforts - Rough data last year seemed to imply killing thargoids in a team/wing, the kill warprogress not just bond could multiply for each pilot in that wing, possibly the same reason 'Eliminate the Thargoid X Threat' mission credit worked consistently for 1 wing that got the last hit but not reliably past that.
Previous projects with ~8 separate PGs in play (AXI's 5th anniversary last year iirc) seemed to imply that could still be the case, or at very least that more instances running in parallel got more progress, even with the divided forces seeing individual instance kill counts drop.
One thing i have no hard intel on is whether a Team on the ground all doing the sabotages gets any multiplier, or if they just get credit for the specific spire They sabotaged - I know that the missions for that seemed to count it when other teammates sabotaged a spire bin in the same instance, but, things were a bit spaghetti back then.
For the short term broadly in agreement - As long as the Orths are seeing sufficient progress, it's allowing some fund stockpiling for later buy orders/newer pilots (I would be outright broke by now otherwise even back in Oya), and providing an option for larger/more casual instances and audiences - pilots who otherwise wouldn't engage/could not afford to engage with the war much both having an impact and getting some base-level experience with scouts, cyclops, SFN and caustic, and the servers much as ever splitting/merging instances to still multiply progress somewhat.
For future, whether we see substantial dropoff in interest in general/due to less appealing spires, or need a peripheral batch taken out as swiftly as possible, it's nice to have some options and ideas... would want dedicated private groups for that though i feel, there have been enough pilots just flying in, laser tagging every orthrus they see and causing substantial headache through outdated info (the days when inbounds did not defend themselves) or otherwise who did not respond to comms, so if it happened randomly especially with how desynced the actual shutdown can be from the visual wave, it may be poorly received if people didn't know what they were flying into.
