Carrier Equipment & Travel Planner sheet, v2 (still WIP).
The yellow cells are the ones to use for your numbers.

Main tab:
• Added Outfitting and Ship Packages to cost and capacity usage estimates
• Separate Commodities and Tritium entries to manage your storage
• Overall Capacity Usage percentage and wonderful carrier graphic
• More grand totals for better visibility

• Added basic mining estimation tool
• Now editable safety margin

Bulk Modules tab:
• Behold a superb spreadsheet of the possibly interesting module packages for deep space carriers. I said possibly. Which means there's no weapons or core modules that one tries to take care of before heading out.
• Price and capacity usage for each package/tier.
• ty Crap Index: calculate the percentage of suboptimal grade modules in regard to the whole package.
• Real Price Per Worthy Item: calculates the actual price of the modules that are not suboptimal grades, if we discard those. Yes, 108,000,000 Cr for 10 DSS is much.

As before, to use it got to File > Make a copy
OR
Request access and I'll duplicate the main tab and lock everyone out but you, so you can use the thing on my doc and stay up-to-date on the numbers.

Nothing like some spreadsheet fun for one's birthday 🥳

Also, there are FIVE carriers signed up for Odin's Hold, this is WAY TOO MANY. Several large, remote regions could happily host a second one.

Also², there are still carriers signed up in Inner Orion Spur and Elysian Shore. Those are not necessary and not in the ethos of the DSSA (Deep Space).

Will you need some on-standby spares to rotate out for resupply of ships and modules back at an FC Outfitting system?

That's not planned, the least they move the better (by least I mean not at all for the scheduled duration). If outfitting stocks are depleted, well that's it... To mull over for later.

SHEET UPDATE

• Added a "Ditch suboptimal" option on the Modules tab, if you intend on getting rid of the useless grades... FYI though, this option is based on the mass of the modules, versus their volume in units in the carrier storage. There are inconsistencies (for example with all the 0T modules), so keep that in mind, it is NOT accurate.

Will do the same for ships soon.

Been doing something similar with mining and spreadsheets. If I can get an alt account up with a carrier, I'd be happy to join!

Edit: Just signed up with my main account, I'll change it to my alternate account if I need later on.

I've got a few questions about the DSSA project that's being run if anybody involved is reading this. I'm very interested in getting involved in this but I want to have a few months exploring in my carrier first, and then spend a year taking it around the outer edge of the galaxy myself.

So my long-term involvement would likely not begin until January 2022. Is this a long-term thing you're setting up? Things like Distant Worlds etc. in the past have just had set dates on them.

I wouldn't mind where in the galaxy I'd park, but would want it to be in the place where it's needed most. Would you able to advise players later of what's needed and where? Also, when I'm out exploring the outer rim of the galaxy, could I report where I am during this time, and where I move to next, so Cmdrs can still find me and use my repair and other services when they're nearby?

Is there a link where I can download a copy of this spreadsheet please? It looks brilliant, and I've always organised Elite through spreadsheets 😁

Yes this is a long term project and there is no set time frame for Carrier owners to have their Carriers out into their designated regions either (except the Distant Worlds Carrier which is going to the Abyss and needs to be there before Q4 in-case there is a DW3).

The long-term plan is for these locations to become well-known expeditionary WPs, and mining and Tritium trading outposts, that eventually further down the line may become micro colonies if base building is a thing. So we're talking years of content creation and long term goals with no set end-date.
