Pick two integers between 1 and 10. Use Orvidius's ship name generator: the first integer is how many times you generate a list, the second is which you'd pick from the output.
Of course, you might end up with something like "DSSA Sexy Elephant" or "DSSA Scientific Science". (Actual results for me.) But hey, if you did, it's not your fault.

I volunteer. CMDR Gurrenhert, DSSA Nova Blues, planning on the southern arm of the Arcadian Stream, near the Eord Prau nebula. I see that region is still below the 3-FC cutoff, but I can be flexible in destination, so let me know if there are collisions or concerns.

I´ve just heard of this project a few moments ago and thought of participating.I don´t have a carrier yet, however preperations are already on the way for almost three weeks. It´s a bit late right now and I´ll have to think about this in detail tomorrow. But I wanted to claim it right away:

I've filled in the form, would love to take part and offer up the pride and joy of the Independence Separatist Fleet the [ISF] PEACEBRINGER (renaming available). We will happily send a FC to the Acheron region to aid all commanders in their travels in the farthest reaches of the galaxy.

This way you can suggest to explorers utilizing the services to obtain and deliver (by selling to the carrier market) Tritium. This way the carrier owner may be able to recoup some of the fuel needed to get home at the end of its service. Even an explorer who has no mining equipment may be able to do so by purchasing said equipment if desired, assuming its still in stock.
Of course this stock may eventually run out, but it may also encourage future explorers to bring along a mining laser and small refinery if they can spare it in the build.
As of now I am planning on entirely dedicating my alt account to this so I can permanently park the commander out there with the carrier, I just need to work out the logistics of my life - the time to grind some more coin and also fly it out.

I have not found in a topic yet: was it discussed, that each cmdr, who goes with the FC, could store in FC up to thirty T9s full of tritium, instead of mining all the way? (Please correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not sure, how many ships each commander can take in FC with). These T9s could be then sold back (or abandoned).

Well, the carriers are not supposed to go home, at all. We aim to keep them there, permanently. They should only go out of service if the owner could not keep supporting the carrier anymore, even with help from the community.
Yes, as there is a certain appeal to do deep space mining operations with some people, which is why I decided to launch mine form the bubble instead of Colonia, even though it's 3 times the distance now.
