Good to hear that.Funnily enough, I think the practice I've had flying an indestructable ship against hundreds and hundreds of foes has helped, because I've switched to an Asp, 5 shields, 1MW Beam, (I can't handle a Pulse), and am managing 1-on-1 clashes a lot better now.![]()
The key to surviving encounters with IC/IEs is using their sluggishness against them. That is until I come up against an Imperial Courier!!![]()
I had this problem too. Follow the instructions in this post and all should be wellI played FFED3D in vista and with last patch it finally works at all, but the problem is the mouse - it does not click where I point, it clicks higher (about the height of the button in the menu) so it is very difficult to select tiny objects or navigate via menus.
Good to hear that.

Shame there's not an option to dump your Passenger Cabins into space, because I would have. Didn't they realise it was a difficult journey I'd just made!!?
Yeah, there is a maximum time of one month before your passengers start to complain, although I don't think this is made clear when you agree to take themGot to the station with 7% of my hull left, no Auto-Pilot!, and just hours from docking my passenger said, "Oi, where are we, I've been waiting a month, take me to the nearest port immediately!!".
I always check the map of the destination system before I agree a contract, to make sure I'm not going to one of those quintuple systems where the nearest port is hundreds of AU's away.
I never use the keys to change Stardreamer speed, but after loading up FFED3D it would seem it mirrors the system used in JJFFE ie. Shift+(F1-F5) or 6-0and what about the keys to change stardreamer speed?
Right. Personally I use fraps to capture the screen, but other programs are availableAnd also print screen button does not work, but I guess it is normal in this version right?
Hyperdrive add-on giving you the ability to select any stellar-mass within the system as reference point (then exit the hyperspace within usual 10AU radius around it) would be good.Yes, those systems are so impractical that they are usually just ignored.
It would have been nice for those complex systems to have been given the option on hyperspace of which sector of the system to hyperspace to the vicinity of.
It's perfectly doable with the starting ship - you can get to Alioth in two jumps and it's your performance in Alioth system that matters the most. Of course, you won't accomplish that on autopilot - retros are much weaker than main thruster plus the autopilot sacrifices speed for flexibility by gradually decreasing forward thrust, then gradually increasing retros, rather than giving full burn all the way - this gives it a lot of room for corrections when they are necessitated by, for example, gravitational influences and orbital movement of bodies in the system.in the beginning I have no chance, it took me 18days to get to that system so I guess this could be profittable with better hyperdrive...
I found out keys to roll the ship, but what about that newspaper?![]()
Gah, not the newspapers thing again! You have a subscription to the next 11 issues. In February 3250 the next issue will be available.
