POI SUBMISSION

(note, while similar, this is not the same system as the POI submission above)

POI Name: “Aquarian Dream”
Discovery date: 13.11.17
Category: Tourism
Game map search ref: Blae Drye DR-A c28-2

Description: A binary system in which the primary star has an ammonia world, and three water worlds, in adjacent orbits to one another. One of the water worlds has a ring system, and a moon that can be landed on. It is situated 900 lightyears below the Omega Nebula, just above the lower neutron fields.

Hello! This is not my find and I do not know what name to assign to this system. But in my opinion, such systems are very rare. There are only 6 trinary ELWs in "List of Earth-like worlds, v2". That system was first discovered for EDSM by CMDR DocRaise on Jan 28, 2017.

Name: I think "Trefoil" is a good name?

You're telling me! In over 16,000 LYs I've not yet found one undiscovered ELW! I did come across an ELW but it had already been claimed (near the FRift)... :(

Really? :S
I am on my way back from Beagle Point now, and have discovered at least 25-30 ELW systems and some Ammonia worlds on the way. But when exploring approx. 65000 LY's from the bubble I am not surprised to find some new ELWs every now and then. :)

TIP: The best chance to find ELW's is to filter your travel route to star class F systems (and maybe A,B and G too, if there are few F systems).

Happy hunting! ;)

Wow! Nice discovery :) I've never seen a system with more than two ELWs during my three journeys across the galaxy.

They'll come. It took me about 1600 jumps to find my first one - there've been a couple of hundred since then. Never a trinary set though (or even a binary that wasn't tagged). Nice find CMDR Klepto.

Description: A system composed of a trinary star cluster, it is remarkable for two reasons. Firstly it contains two water worlds and two terraforming candidates (one of which is one of the water worlds). Secondly the system holds a galactic record holder, Eafoth GP-0 b33-0 3 and it's orbiting class 3 gas giant are only a light-second a part, giving it the shortest known orbital period of only 0.171 days!

squirrel's nest easter egg. (copy from my older post)

Upon traveling to Pleione I noticed what I thought was a tourist beacon called the "squirrel's nest". when I jumped in I was surprised to see a station that was large and different.

You can't dock there. but you can fly through the tunnels!!! yes, it has short tunnels. I recommend not using a cutter like I did as yes, it may fit, but you get stuck trying to turn. These tunnels don't seem to serve any form of use. but they are fun to fly through.

There are Ship Data logs littered all over it, each detailing a small personal story of one of the locals. (from spilling beer to Alien stories, even some chick who did a naughty in the cargo bay ) each appears to be humorous in nature. some are even hidden in the tunnels! there also appears to be a range bug in that you can almost be kissing the Data point and it still registers as 200M.

And, my favourite. the first product display I have seen for any in-game commodity. the advertisement for Lavian Brandy!! It's LB No.11 bottle looks very simular to that of JD No.7 whisky.

Now all I hope for is that FDev sells it on the frontier store! I'd by me a bottle or two of that!!

Take care!

Hello explorers

During my last trip, between colonia and Sag A*, I have found a system and I would like to know if the system could be a candidate for a POI or a touriste site.

The main star of the system is a Neutron star. A T star is orbiting around the neutron.
Around the T star, there are 7 planets, 3 water and 4 high metal content planet. The point is that the 7 planets are terraformable.

Do you think this system is noticeable and worth the trip?

ps I am not sure of the star, it's a L or a T.

Wait, that planet goes between 0.036 AU and 20.02 AU on its orbit?! That's crazy. Also a good candidate for a mass Explorer pilgrimage (like "When Worlds Collide") whenever the closest approach would be - does anyone have any idea when that will happen?

Map update complete post #2297 -> post #2359:

First a few submissions that I have left hanging during my absence these last few months - my apologies to anyone waiting to see these on the map.

Name: Dance of the compact quartet <-- renamed by submitter
Map reference: Kyli Flyuae WO-A f39
Type: Stellar Features
Description: This system contains a black hole (primary), two neutron stars and a white dwarf, all within a few light-seconds of each other. The Black Hole is visible in the lower center of the image above.

From PM correspondence:
CMDR: CMDR NATOstrike
Name: Nykk
Type: Planetary Features
Map reference: Pru Ais TP-O d6-2
Description: Nykk is located in the Circanus Transit. A ternary system with a neutron main, Nykk currently holds the record for having the most water worlds of any discovered system in the galaxy. The seven waterworlds are hosted by a type M star approximately 70,000 ls from the arrival point.

The system is named "Nykk", after the water spirits of Norwegian mythology.

From PM correspondence:
CMDR: Alesia
Name: Helium Paradox
Type: Planetary Features
Map reference: Blaa Phoe JX-T e3-26
Description: This system is a paradox to the scientific community as it contains a record breaking 22 helium-rich gas-giants. A common hypothesis for the formation of helium rich gas-giants requires an ordinary gas-giant to "slow-cook" during several billion years to allow the lighter hydrogen to be purged from the atmosphere while the heavier heilum remains. But as the primary stars of this system are a young Herbig star as well as a young T-Tauri star, this hypothesis seems invalid in this case.

Description: This system contains two very similar K8 IIAB giants, a little under 85,000 ls apart.

POI Name : Fumarole in a bubble

POI Type : Geyser/Fumarole
GalMap Ref : BUBBLE SECTOR LX-T B3-1

Description : A very nice view from inside the Bubble nebula. The fumaroles are located around 31.3984 / 154.2304 on the planet 1 A
This picture has been take by "day light" but the "night side" of any landable planets inside this nebula also offers incredibles landscapes.

Id like to hear some input from others before deciding on this one. 7 terraform candidates - worth including or not?
