The Galactic Mapping Project & Historical Archive of Exploration

I haven't been there, but a quick look through the galaxy map shows that there are neutron stars all the way there. I suppose that using the double boost bug was only required to get back from the system, not to get there. If so, the description has some errors.
Once carriers are released, it will again be possible to go there and back, to all the systems that were originally tagged or reached this way.

Description:This system's first and second planet share similar phisical properties and the same orbit, so these are always in the opposite place of the other one's orbit.

Was Strong G / HD 148937 (previous hi-G landable record holder) ever a GMP / EDSM point of interest? Could've sworn it was, but was looking it up over the weekend (for reference, while landing at Lithobreaker) and it's not / no longer marked on EDSM...

Here you go. Update text

Name:Orio-Persean Depot
Game map search ref:Aiphaisty YE-A d130
Description:Commander Borys visited this system on the 14th February 3306 to stock up on Jumponium materials and discovered the first ever example of a Q07-Anomaly in the lagrange point on the orbit of planet B1. The Q07 Anomaly is notable for the mesmerising display it makes when within 200m of the ship's lights. But be aware that this can rapidly cause the ship to overheat.

The system contains all materials needed for synthesis of Jumponium - a ´green´ system.

Name:Formorian Fumaroles
Game map search ref:Blau Chraei ER-N b7-4
Description:This system was discovered on the Perseus Reach expedition by CMDR atomfarin. What first appeared to be an unremarkable Class M system turned out to harbour quite a few rare geological findings. Rare Ice Fumaroles seem to be abundant, we were able to confirm
Ammonia Ice Fumaroles
Methane Ice Fumaroles
Nitrogen Ice Fumaroles
Water Ice Fumaroles

and that is only the four bodies we investigated. There are plenty of bodies with Water Geyser and Carbon Dioxide Geyser signals as well.

Name: Cradle of life
Game map search ref: Preae Ain WJ-Z d18
Description: A system with 4 Water worlds, all of which are terraformable. One ELW can be found in this system as well. There are also many landable bodies with geological, biological or even both types of features. The A type main star brightly illuminates this system and makes it look awesome.

Disclaimer: I didn't discover this system but it seems no one submitted it to the galactic mapping project even though it so deserves it...

One of the explorers on the Eastern Promise expedition has found a route to Magellan's Star that slashes the minimum jump range required from the 47.57Ly on the route given in the EDSM listing to a whisker over 42Ly. Is it worth posting that as an update to the EDSM description?

Name:Copperhead
Game map search ref:Synuefe ZD-G b44-0
Description:Named for the beautiful Viride Brain trees on planets 2a and 2b that look like tarnished copper, this system is also notable for the variety of geological sites.

Sulphur Dioxide Ice Fumarole
Water Ice Fumarole
Carbon Dioxide Ice Fumarole
Silicate Vapour Ice Fumarole
Water Ice Geyser
Carbon Dioxide Ice Geyser
Silicate Magma Lava Spout
Iron Magma Lava Spout

Name:Ice Breaker
Game map search ref:Phleedgoea TK-M d8-380
Description:The shepherd moon of planet B2 is so close to the icy rings that the edge of the ring is only 79km from the surface of the planet, well within the orbital cruise range. The planet has a relatively short orbital period of 0.7 days which means that you may not be able to land if you don't approach it from ahead of the direction of travel. The planet is 197,110ls from the main star.

Name:Brother Wolf and Sister Moon
Game map search ref:Phroea Blou ZL-K d9-2810
Description:This system has an earth-like Moon and a terraformable water moon orbiting a ringed class III gas giant. The earth-like moon orbits the giant every 1.6 days and its sister moon completes an orbit every 1.1 days so the two moons are re-united every 3.5 days passing less than half a light second from each other.

The system also contains another water world, a terraformable high metal content world and four metal rich bodies.

The two moons are roughly opposite each other currently so I'll hang around and see if i can get a better image as they will be on the same side of the giant in just under two days.

...

A day later and they are much closer

Looks like a nebula slipped through the cracks.
Name:Marshmallow Nebula
Game map search ref:Blaa Eaec FD-V b19-49
Description:A purple, puffy nebula along the Colonia-connection highway. This particular nebula seems to have an unusual preponderance of multiple ELW systems. The following systems are all within Blaa Eaec:
  • RR-J c10-23 (2 ELWs, one of which orbits 3 stars)
  • TS-S d4-541 (3 ELWs, two are in a binary configuration)
  • QW-H c11-139 (2 ELWs in binary)

Game map search ref:Blua Eaec IC-S c5-139
Description:4-planet systems are quite rare in themselves, but when 3 of them are ELWs and 1 is a terraformable WW it becomes unique. This system has possibly the closest example of a pure, 4 ELW system. It is also quite close to the Marshmallow nebula.

Nice find, Mooing! I love finding those "clockwork" 4-planet systems, nevermind one so blue like that. Quaternary? (We have binary, trinary...)
