The Galactic Mapping Project & Historical Archive of Exploration

Waking up this morning, I realized that the now famous GMP never had a proper patch. Thought I'd mess around with Affinity Designer a bit more.

Maker's Dozen has been added.

Traveler_GG, do you have more info on that system, such as the different types of terraformable worlds (WW, HMC, etc)? It would make the POI entry better.

I can pop in to the system map and give you as much info as you need. Give me a bit to list everything - As long as you call it Cyrannus;)

STUEMEAE ET-F D12-7473 (Cyrannus) lies approximately 26,900LY from Sol, Galactic Co-Ordinates approximately 444.4, 1140, 26,872.1

Right, here you go:

Star A - Class A, 1.32B years old, 1.7383 Solar Mass, 1.3002 Solar Radius, 8,426K Surface Temp, 3,084,310.0 Days orbit (yup.. 3 million days :) )
A1 - HMC
a1a - not scanned
A2 - HMC
A3 - HMC
A4 - HMC
A5 - HMC TC
a5a - not scanned
A6 - TWW TC binary
A7 - TWW TC binary
A8 - Class II GG

Star B - Class G, 22,098.4d orbit (approx 364,950LS from Primary)
Asteroid belt - metal rich
B1 - HMC
B2 - HMC TC
B3 - HMC TC binary
B4 - HMC TC binary
B5 - HMC TC
B6 - HMC binary
B7 - TWW binary

Star C - Class K, 22.098.4d orbit (approx 362,439ls from primary)
C1 - HMC
C2 - HMC TC binary
C3 - HMC TC binary
C4 - HMC TC
c4a - landable moon
C5 - HMC TC
c5a - landable moon
C6 - TWW TC
c6a - rocky world

Hope that's enough info.

POI Name : Titans of Preae Chruia

POI Type : Stellar Feature
GalMap Ref : Preae Chruia AA-A h0 - all informations can be found here : https://www.edsm.net/en/system/bodies/id/13674120/name/Preae+Chruia+AA-A+h0

Description : When you jump into that system, which is originaly discovered by the cmdr Hans Gugensolder, you instantanetly know that you face a huge star, it's an O star that makes 100 solar masses and 160 solar radius. But if you look behind her you can see an other star, you may think she is close to you but you couldn't be more wrong. 55 000ls further, there is a B star that makes 59 solar masses and 432 solar radius ! In comparison, the 1000ls away Wolf-Rayet seems ridiculous.

POI Name: Blue surprise.

POI Type: Stellar Feature
Galmap Ref: Dryao aoc PT-Q E5-143 - https://www.edsm.net/en/system/bodies/id/13160586/name/Dryao+Aoc+PT-Q+e5-143

Desc: This system is truly scary ! The first time I entered in this system my heart skipped a beat.
The main body is a black hole and very close to him there also is a neutron star (at 3 or 4 ls). Depending of their alignement and your jumping system, you can enter in this system by passing very close to the heart of the neutron star, you also can arrive along the beam.
Do you want to see what is inside a neutron star without having to crash your ship* ? Here is your destination.
*Well I can't assure you that is perfectly safe.

A video to illustrate what can happen : http://ed.mist0.fr/video/SHSB.mp4

First submission on here so apologies for any issues!

POI Name: The Marble
POI Type: Black Hole/Planetary Nebula
Galmap Ref: GCRV 4981

Desc: "The Marble (GCRV 4981 B) is a Black Hole situated within a blue and red coloured planetary nebula. The gravitational lensing of the black hole combined with the contrasting colours of the nebula combine to give the appearance of a gigantic marble whose colours and patterns shift as you move in relation to it."

Images: (looks far more spectacular when moving but the videos didn't come out properly and I'm nowhere near it at the moment!)

New POI

POI Name: Nyauthai Beacon
POI Type: Beacon
Galmap Ref: Nyauthai AA-A h0

Desc: "One of the brightest lights in the region, located just outside the Nyauthai Ripple. The system consists of two blue-white supergiants located almost 400k light-seconds apart. The secondary supergiant is itself orbited by a main-sequence O-class and B-class star. This system has a total of 161 solar masses and a composite luminosity equivalent of 26 million solar luminosity.

Note: The second blue-white supergiant is incorrectly defined as a regular main-sequence star, despite a size of more than 400 solar radii. "

POI name: Glow Bug Giant 1 (1 because I plan to visit the other ones reported on forums as well :) )
POI type: stellar feature
Galmap ref: Eol Prou KW-L c8-32

Desc: Gas giant with water-based life. Without possibility to land it is being speculated that it's specific green glowing stripes are caused by bioluminescense of said life. You can observe it from a water geyser site on closest of it's moons: 4A at coordinates 18.26 73.82

With today's 2.3.10 release, inhabited systems around Colonia were renamed, so I'd like to ask a simple change to the Nereus (& Tranquility) entry. The system's name is Metztli now, so please replace Nereus with that. The ELW there still doesn't have a unique in-game name, it's just Metztli 6 now.

Quick question: As I'm an xbox commander, any new POI's I sumbit likely won't have been visited before on EDSM. I'm recording the distances to Sol and Colonia from the system so I can trilaterate them, but does it need more distances? Or does it need to be visited (by someone on PC) anyway?

If the system doesn't exist, it will be manually added and then bumped up on the trilatteration list. Once it has known coordinates it will be listed.

Are you interested in the 'first' star past 65,000LY from Sol?

hyeae eoq gz-m d8-0 is 3,800LY EAST of the Meridian and 10LY over the 65,000LY line. I found it when trying to jump off the Northern edge of the galaxy after the DWE expedition headed home. :)

It's a bit lonely out that way.

Since there are a number of stars past 65k Ly from Sol, I don't think is particularly unique.
