Name: Eye of the Gods
System: Clooku FR-P c8-73 AB 1
Type: Stellar POI (Stellar Features)
Description: The eye of the Gods will follow you when landing on the small high metal content world at the right time. The eye follows every movement and when it is pleased it will continue it's graceful choreography as the eye opens up in an M-class and a K-class star orbiting each other closely like 2 burning swans connected forever.

Can you elaborate on this? Is the system tidally locked to the suns? (ie, the suns never set). Are the suns always eclipsing each other? Thanks.

Map Update through post #3321

Updates:

* 'Lair of Unicorns' updated with new schedule for collisions; thanks to Cmdr MattG.
* Image updates (#3291): previously done.
* "Roseum Somnium" changed to Historical Location and note added. (post #3318)

Additions:

* 'Six Sisters': Eol Prou KW-M D7-2351
* 'Nereus' Gift': Eoch Pruae UA-E d12-237
* 'Vulcan Triad': BYA PHLA WP-P E5-8 (combined: Vulcan Brain, Eye, Soul)
* "Galactic Helium Reserve": Preae Ain CG-X e1-14
* "Twilight Paradise"
* "Double Blue Mountain"

Not Added/Rejected:

* #3291: unable to find nebula.
* #3297: Neutron star + ELW does not meet uniqueness criteria. Also, no name was proposed.
* #3299: Heavily canyoned moons are not highly unique, plus it is unclear if these would look the same for other pilots due to use of edfx.
* #3301: Planetary nebula w/ only a blackhole + 1 other star; does not meet noteability criteria.
* #3311: As per policy we do not include locations inside the bubble.
* #3312: Does not meet notability criteria.
* #3313: Does not meet notability criteria.
* #3315: Previously added.
* #3321: Does not meet notability criteria.

Admin Note: There are a growing number of POI near Colonia. The requirements for new POI near Colonia may be increased in order not to overload the area with POI.

The planet is tidally locked and the suns are indeed eclipsing each other.

Edit: The suns have an orbital period of 0.4 days so you can almost see them move

There is a POI Submission with this system, it's #2472. I put it myself in January 2018.
My problem is that for some strange reason my POI Submission was edited in #2967 with the reason that it had been deleted from the map...
In EDSM the system still exists even if the information shown is not correct.

It's the URL I cited: https://www.edsm.net/en/system/id/20384254/name/Pyurks+HC-J+d10-18

I'm sorry for the mess. ^^

...anyone know what the english font is in the russian screenshot above? That looks so much nicer than the default one! (and how to change the default font too).

POI Name: Froarsts' Green Streak
POI Type: Planetary Nebula
Reference System: Froarsts JR-N e6-691

Description: A beautiful little nebula between Gandharvi and Polo Harbour. This nebula was tagged by CMDR Buratino but it doesn't appear on the star maps.

Hello,

On discussion with other GMP staff, we determined this submission was added in error; it did not meet the notability criteria. It was removed by Anthor at that time.

Do you have a photo?

Clookua is not a valid system prefix. If you mean 'Clookuae', then I am unable to find any nebula near Clookuae AA-A H41. Can you please give a more accurate system reference?

Also, is there anything more notable than a few biological surface POIs? Anything someone would want to go 10k ly out of their way to see?
Lastly, do you have a name suggestion for it?

I screwed up, it’s Clookau. Sorry for the lateness, been busy. As far as anything notable I’m not sure there really is anything. With the high concentration of nearby nebula it might be better to leave this one out actually. If traveling on the bubble/Colonia route it would require about a 3000ly detour.

As far as name. Perhaps Jackson’s Lantern.

During the DW2 expidition me and my buddy found a really cool system we would like to share. Please feel free to provide any feedback about the name or description. I think this is a perfect POI for the next waypoint of DW2

Name: Ebony and Ivory

Game map search ref: BYAA AIRM JM-W F1-744

Description: Located 2000lys above the boarder of Inner Scutum-Cetarurs Arm and Norma Arm This Black Hole main sequence star was discovered by CMDR Chalfantkr, and CMDR Greycatfarts during the Distant Worlds 2 Expedition. The main sequence black hole is closely orbited by a DAO White Dwarf star 2ls away. As this black hole orbits the White dwarf its slowly sipping life with each orbit. This system is hazardous for any well intentioned explorer. Those looking to take a picture of the white dwarf from inside the black hole can expect hull temperatures to rise quickly. The story goes that CMDR Chalfantkr barely made it out of the black hole with less than 10 percent hull as his hull temperature over 250%

On your way out of the system feel free to get a boost from one of the 3 Neutron starts that orbit the black hole
