Pre-Odyssey Submission Freeze
Following discussion among the GMP staff, we are freezing submissions until the launch of Odyssey. Submissions up until post #5137 will be processed. After that has been completed, the thread will be locked until the Odyssey expansion is released. New submissions after post #5137 will not be processed prior to the Odyssey release.
We anticipate that Odyssey will create a flood of new submissions and submission types. This freeze also allows for the GMP to get caught up with our backlog of submissions, and evaluate old POI that may no longer be worth inclusion on the main map; as we have done in the past some older POI may get recataloged to the 'Archived' section.

I know that this is more than a year old post, however - the mentioned crashed ship site is neither permanent, nor random. It's a known Tip Off related site, so it's visible only for 2 weeks in 12 weeks long "big cycle" (have just seen a commander complaining "why there is nothing?")

It feels like mentioning that it holds a record disqualified it as a POI (I understand why, after holding the record for 2 years, it was broken just after I submitted it). I've altered the description of Hermes' Caduceus and Oceanus if that changes your decision.
Just trying to understand how you think when adding stuff. My submission, 5089, is an elw with a white dwarf main star. According to the elw thread such a system is regarded as
. So just curious why such a system isn't worthy enough to be added while a system with a carbon star and an elw is (which is less rare).

It still counts as "good f*cking luck", asked in another thread about this. Even so, another elw orbiting directly around a wd was rejected as well.

Hellrider is correct. That thread you are referencing is not particularly clear, and "main star" really should be "primary star w/o other stars".
We do not base our entries on other people's threads, only our own determination of what counts as noteworthy. Rarity is only part of the equation. This entry was not otherwise remarkable or interesting. It's just a WD main star, with an associated class Y and an ELW. There are many instances of class-Y/L/T secondaries hosting ELWs. There is not anything else particularly interesting to view, or history, to associate with this system.

think you forgot to check my submission in post #5,094
I forgot to note it in the update; I have fixed that. That entry doesn't meet notability standards - many instances of planets with large canyon terrain are known.
#5099 - Loving Mother is: 1) ELW directly orbiting a carbon star; 2) high above plane for excellent views; 3) has a well-written description and photo, and yes, those are things we care about.
As a thought, #5070 might be worth keeping if either world becomes landable in Odyssey? The view from the surface would be pretty awesome.
(also, maybe this is a forum software thing but what's the point of the post numbers when they don't seem to have any relationship to the URL to that post? e.g. post #5159 here has a URL of https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...ng-project-expedition-hub.116450/post-8875433 - no sign of a "5159" in that URL!).
