Graphics card recomendation
So, currently my graphics card is a little on the low end, and before the beta at least I'll be longing for an upgrade. My current specs:
Intel Q6600 (2.4GHz 1066MHz)
Radeon 4850 512MB GDDR3
6MB DDR2 RAM
ASUS P5B motherboard (1 PCI-E x16 slot)
700W PSU
Requirements I have from a graphics card:
- Not too expensive (~£100?)
- 2 MB GRAM! So says the holy Michael...
- Has reasonable longevity, especially if I end up upgrading the rest of my system next year
- Isn't so powerful it is throttled by the CPU/RAM
Of course one option would be to get a cheapish card that just works, with the plan to ditch/relegate it in a year or so when I buy a wholly new computer.
Anyway, any specific recommendations? It's been years since I last bought a serious component so I'm completely out of touch of what's good and bad right now.
Give me your advice, oh Elite-y sages!
