Flunitrazepam anyone?
Dunno about that, but I could go for some (Rinse) rouladen.
Flunitrazepam anyone?
I suspect it will be similar to changing ships in station, in that you are briefly rendered unconscious, only to find yourself coming to in the cockpit/bridge of your other ship, with no recollection of the journey between them.
In other words, seamless
Flunitrazepam anyone?
Like how you get from the outside of outposts to the inside? Press a button and your chair sinks into your ship and slots into the SRV, which is stored in a hangar below in the belly of the ship. Hatch opens, off you go! Never have to leave the chair.
With a faint smell of chloroform in the air
I like that idea, but are all the ships built with the cargo hold underneath the cockpit? I'm thinking T9 specifically.
maybe only ships with a certain mass weight....
I think FD confirmed that all ships could carry an RV, so I'm hoping that you can land on planets in all ships.
I wonder what happens if you land upside down and can't take off again, or get stuck nose down in a valley? I'm planning on having a few accidents![]()
All? Even the ickle Sidey and slimline Eagle? I have my doubts....

The best thing about the PL (airless moons) is that this open up for a whole new kind of game play.
You can now have full battle planet side. I wonder if we can setup a FOB and deliver supplies, like ammo and fuel for an on-going war? that would be great as you will need to setup a logistical route from a station and transport it to the FOB.
Rebels can attack the convoys and all kind of interesting game play can out of this.
I also see a new level of running away from other players too. Players that have PL and are being hounded by a player, can run to an airless moon/planet and land. Log out, then continue on later.
The same as what happens when you buy a new ship.
You know? That amazing lengthy fully motion captured experience where the pilot climbs out, heads into the dealers office and sits on a chair for half an hour drinking some coffee from the machine while he waits for some guy to bring him some forms to fill in.
All? Even the ickle Sidey and slimline Eagle? I have my doubts....
I doubt there'll be that many players without PL after a short while. Considering the number of alpha backers, prem betas, and original lifetime expansion pass holders there's a lot who'll have it by default, and with the massive amount of interest in the expansion it's fair to expect most of the rest of the players to buy it pretty quick. That least the few stubborn ones that are either holding out till FD reduce the price and those who simply can't afford it (kids and unemployed mostly I guess) who will probably quit playing after a while. The core game's so shallow, and missing out on 50% of the expanded game would just be too depressing to hang around for.
The Scarab folds up like a transformer or something when you load it on a ship to save space. Which is why all ships can carry it.
Imagine later when they add some other cool feature that has nothing to do with planetary landings but is still in that season. No reason to skip seasons IMHO.
All? Even the ickle Sidey and slimline Eagle? I have my doubts....
The sidey can carry 4T of cargo and DBOBE's already said the SRV will take up cargo space. I can't see a single person moon buggy and launcher weighing more than 1 ton, can you?
Someone posted on one of the [infinite] Horizons threads here that the Scarab weighed 4 tonnes. But I've no idea where they got that info from.
Can't see that happening, unless the thing's made of lead.![]()
The Eagle is the same size as a single aisle airliner (think A319/A320) Sidewnder is only slightly smaller. Nothing ickle about those ships![]()
